1. Applause for the teams who have refrained from sponsors on the jerseys. 2. Rather than a black Sharks jersey, a dark 'Deep Blue' or very light 'Great White' theme would be awesome. 3. 17:17 The orange oil drop doesn't work on the McFarlane jersey. That jersey works only with silver and navy. An interesting 'reverse retro' would be to put the color scheme from the McFarlane jersey or the 'Rigger' jersey on the classic Oilers jersey layout.

I do wish each team would have a throwback jersey of their older team look. I loved the Atlanta Flames, the older Quebec Nordiques look, which some have done. I wish they'd all include a classic look that even includes a prior city, name, logo, etc. I'm a retro jersey fan. I love them in the NFL, MLB, NBA, and the NHL. It brings back memories of the 50's, 60's, 70's, and 80's which are better than now.

One other comment: if the Hurricanes continue to do a Whalers night, they need to go back further into history and honor one of the jerseys from the WHA seasons of the Whalers. My favorite was the green and gold from 1974-1979. Sometimes, the NHL at league level acts as if the WHA never existed; at least Edmonton and Winnipeg honor those seasons, and the Ava reverse retro jersey patterned after the Nordiques does go back to the WHA years.

(NOTE: though technically introduced at the start of the 89-90 season, the beloved "Bure-era" Canuck black jersey shown at 20:53 is largely associated with the first half of the 90s. The decade of the 80s was lost to the much-maligned "Flying V" look. Small nit-pick... but then, we jersey-loving purists are all about nit-picks, aren't we? ;P )

I have a friend who works for the habs shop and told me they got the reverse retro and his boss told that the jersey was "really light blue" so i guess it means it’s actually baby blue( expos blue)

I like the McFarland jersey for Edmonton. But in the shoulder patch it should be an oiler with a hockey stick. And the alternate jersey I wanted Edmonton to use the oiler or oil worker as their secondary logo and their alternate jersey crest. And the alternate jersey should be dark orange.

The Oilers totally botched the sleeve numbers on their preseason uniforms. For whatever reason, they are not centered between the shoulders and the sleeve stripes; they are pretty close to the stripes, with a huge gap between the top of the numbers and the shoulders. Let’s see if that is rectified on the uniforms they wear for the regular season.

I really wish there was more info out there about this possible new third jersey for the Devils like if it is even rumored for 2022-2023. Interesting to note that every chance they get, they keep using their logo without the circle and just simply the red NJ part of it on merch and even their new Twitter hashtag 🤔 and it’s always on a black base. I hope that’s the direction they’re going in if it is true. The suspense is killing me though!

As far as I can tell, Columbus would be the first team to wear different pants with their home and away since the Colorado Rockies. Ironically, they too wore red pants with their blue jerseys, and blue with their whites for almost their entire tenure

In their inaugural season (1974-75), the Capitals had three sets of pants: red, blue, and yes, white. The white pants were sometimes used with the red jersey and socks, but those didn’t stay in the rotation long. By the second season, Washington settled on blue pants only.

I’m not sure. I’ve seen teams skip the anniversary patch on their third jersey, and the extra material for the shoulder stripes on this particular jersey could potentially make stitching tricky. We’ll just have to wait and see when they wear it.

Detroit has moved their Captain patch to the right side above the wing in pre-season. I assume the move was done to accommodate an ad but we've yet to see anything. It actually goes up into the dimpled shoulder panel, not sure how I feel about the look.
