Please search for the Jerusalem film shot by a cameraman for the Lumiere brothers in 1896. The Jaffa gate is part of the footage. You can't see the moat, but can see a barrier wall that leads directly from the gate into the city that follows the marker line you pointed out in your video.

Fantastic videos. Thank you for the tours and the information... i love the stories you tell at each place. If possible, it would be great if you could do a video of Jaffa. I know you did one about the port, but one about old jaffa itself would be great

Very interesting when we were last in Jerusalem a year and a half ago we stayed in the Imperial Hotel. You passes this imposing building. A video could be made on this building alone as it was there when Allenby arrived. The hotel is also remarkable as the views from the roof garden overlook the tower of David and the rest of the old city. Also the Imperial seems to be the only historic hotel in the old city. I know there is a dispute currently going on with the hotel. Thanks for the video It would be good to do a video on the wall of old Jerusalem as I didn’t get a chance to do this on my last visit. It would be lovely also to find out about the first settlements outside the wall. Also would like to know more about Zacharias tomb and the mount of Olives and the cementaries.

If they asked for more money 💰 and killed by sultan army they don't make their graves like that . That Turbun and proper graves shows they must be important .

SHALOM DAVID HYMAN-- GOOD MORNING .. THE JAFFA GATE HAS LOTS OF STORYS ,THE GRAVE SITE I HEARD THEY TOLD TO MUCH AND WAS KILLED ??? TODAH.. G.M..
@IsraelwithDavidHyman3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ronald. Yes, many lagends regarding the two graves inside the gate. My favorite is that they built a smaller wall and stole the money. You are also welcome to make up your own legend. Take care 🙂
