I really enjoy watching the different creative things you do with the jesmonite and resin. Combining the two is something I was wondering about ever since I started watching you work with the jesmonite. My favorites are the one with the for in the middle. It's simple and elegant looking to me. It looks like very high end jewelry! You couldn't have planned it better! Second one would be the one with the two stripes. Again, such an elegant piece. I do like the heart with the white on the top right. I don't know why, there's just something about it that appeals to me in a fun way. I do have to tell you though that the happy little green botanical one is my absolute favorite piece of all! You are so awesome to watch and the excitement in your voice over makes me smile the whole way through the video. Thank you for all your experiments, tips, and creative ideas. You are a blessing! ❤️

Does the Jesmonite have a hard solid texture when cured or does it have a softer chalky texture when cured. To me it looks like the white area will just deteriorate and crumble away during normal bumping into the keys or whatever you put the keychain with. This is my Blue heart you asked for 💙 ! 😆 🤣 😂
@ellishansen81152 жыл бұрын
Crap, I didn't know you were live. Oh well, hopefully I'll catch it next time. These are fabulous!!! I agree with all your critiques (as if you were waiting for my opinion)! I do like the hearts, but not as much. The one heart with the jesmonite around the hole is pretty cool. Great job! Have you checked to see if the resin is going to break away from the jesmonite yet? What if you do a top coat of resin over the entire piece (if it breaks). 💙

Well… I know it’s two years later now… and yes, I’m watching it again (not just for the 2nd time either!)!! I had a thought while watching this time… and, of course, this may already have been done but, this is my thought… Once you remove the jesmonite disc and break them… could you not put a bit of wet jesmonite on the broken piece, then place them back in the mould, and allow it to cure, then pour the resin?? So, basically sticking the jesmonite piece back in… and it will then be adhered to the mould and the resin shouldn’t seep under. I don’t know if I’m making any sense at all, explaining it… it seems so simple in my head!?! Please let me know if you know what I’m trying to say! Much love from Brisbane, Australia. ♥️♥️🇦🇺

Ooo love the mountain one (and the botanical!) 💙 I have heard of some resin artists pouring jesmonite and resin at the same time in the same piece, so both are wet and I'm really intrigued as I only use resin (at the moment!) but as you are saying jesmonite is water based so I can't believe it can work. Hi again Claire… I was so looking forward to this video and you certainly didn’t disappointed!! I’m so sorry if I dribble on but I have an opinion on almost every one of the pieces!! LOL I love these key rings/pendants Claire, they turned out beautifully. The circle with the round spot looks more like a Smurf (with a BIG nose) to me! The more random mix of jesmonite & resin in the hearts are lovely… I don’t know why you don’t like them? And I just adore the snowy mountain one! I’m wondering if the reason you got some seepage in a couple of them was due to the jesmonite shrinking slightly as it dried?? As you said they still had moisture in them when you poured the resin, so could it be, that they pulled up, ever so slightly, as the moisture left? (If that makes any sense at all??!) ♥️♥️
@ClairesCraftyCorner2 жыл бұрын
heyyyy Natalie .. thank you so much !! ohhhh yes that makes total sense Jesmonite does shrink and so does Resin so that could totally explain the seepage on that one ..
