Looks amazing! I have tried it right away and waiting now for the results. The only thing what I have noticed lately the I am using Jesmonite, is that I have a lot of bubble in the back of the shapes. I mix it quite well, also with a kitchen mixer now for the big quantities. But could it be because it is mixed with the kitchen mixer?

@ClairesCraftyCorner2 жыл бұрын
heyyy lovely .. when you say not balanced ? is it because your surfaces are not fully flat ? i would try and get your surfaces flat for sure they should not be that unbalanced x for the holes i would just pour a small amount and shake the mould well .. do not lift the mould up just shake it on table

@@ClairesCraftyCorner dont be sorry it's nice to know how you doing and what your thinking is I think like you say need to do some lists and work out a routine that works for you but dont feel bad if things go off piste it will evolve as time goes on as you will become more accustom to it and things will begin to flow better for you but dont worry it will settle down and you will find the right balance I'm sure of it, if anyone can make this work it's you claire so I wish you all the luck in the world xxx

So if the consistency is thin it’s ok to add just a little more powder to get the thicker consistency?
@ClairesCraftyCorner3 жыл бұрын
Heyyyy Tammy, adding more powder or more liquid does actually weaken the product. However, becaue the main body of the tray was the correct ration of 1:2.5 the trays are strong enough. I would not change the ratio for the main body of the piece ... but I feel like the splashes were ok being a bit thicker with extra powder. You can actually buy a thickening agent to make the jesmonite thicker without weakening it x but I have not bought it x
