In this tutorial I'll be showing you how to make a focal polymer clay pendant with a difference. We will be exploring new ideas for using Pebeo paints and mica frills along the way.
There are lots of different techniques in this project so it's quite long, but really fun to make.

Love the narrative story these hold!! Also, the whimsy of the waves perfectly matches the feeling tone. Stories always enhance a piece's value, imo. So much work done in great harmony!

Very nice as always, Samantha! Wish my pebeo paint were still good. Tried the mineral spirits and it didn’t work☹️ and paints are too expensive to buy again, since shelf Iife is kinda short. Will use them as regular paints. Anyway, you are amazingly very talented! Love your work and always appreciate you sharing your talent with us! 😊

Burnishing mica powders by gently rubbing (barely touching your piece) with your bare finger will blend it so much smoother. :) I get beautiful blends doing that. It doesn't leave behind finger prints. :) These pieces are beautiful, but since you commented on the chunky blend, I thought I'd pass on a tip if you don't already know it by now. ^_^

Thanks for another wonderful tutorial, Samantha! I love the combination of techniques, especially the innovative ways in which you used the Pebeo Prisme paints. Quick question: Is there an advantage to attaching the bail before curing, then breaking it off and reattaching vs. pressing the seam side of the bail flat against the work surface, curing it next to (vs. attached to) the pendant and then attaching it with Bake & Bond? Thanks very much!

You make such beautiful things! Thank you for sharing included all hints! But I also have a question. Why does the clay not get hard by baking it, even saverel times. I bake at 125 degrees Celsius for half an hour or even longer. What do I do wrong? Thanks for answering in advance! Greetings, Loes

Hey Samantha- beautiful pendants, I love them. I know you've done quite a bit of testing on the Pebeo paints, and I know you said they could be cured then removed easily from Teflon and silicone, but I'm wondering if you've tried it on wax paper or parchment paper (I think you call it baking paper, but could be wrong). I know I can test it for myself, but I only have the tiny bottles of the Pebeo paints, and I'm trying not to waste any, since I'm already running low- so before I tested it for myself, I just wanted to ask if you had any idea as to whether or not it would work on the wax or parchment paper. Thank you!
@JessamaTutorials
@JessamaTutorials 6 жыл бұрын
I haven't tested that yet, but I can over this weekend. If you're willing to wait two days I can come back with a yes or a no.
@JessamaTutorials
@JessamaTutorials 6 жыл бұрын
Yes. Baking paper will work, but make sure you get one that's quite waxy otherwise the paint might stick.

❤❤❤💖👆 Another great piece I can hang in my shop. I do have a question. I'd like to make a variety of beads to sell but so far the beads I've made are beautiful, but time consuming! I'd like to find an easier way to make an abundant of beads that I don't have to charge $10 for. So if you have a bead tutorial I'd appreciate it if you at me know. Your such a sweetheart and I could listen to you for hours! Your a born teacher! Congratulations on finding your calling!your fabulous 💖 THANK YOU SAMANTHA! YOU'RE FABULOUS DAWLINK😁

Hi Samantha. First let me say I have enjoyed ever video that I have watched from you. They are fun, very informative and your artistic talent is amazing. I have a question please. Do you find that the Pebeo Prisme paint has a short shelf life and loses its affects? I guess that is two questions! Thank you!
@JessamaTutorials
@JessamaTutorials 3 жыл бұрын
I do find that pebeo does tend to get sticky over time and has a shorter shelf life than other paints. I do believe there is a pebeo paint thinner you can use though. I can't remember what it is called.
