I bought a hand knife sharpener at Ace hardware. It has two sides rough and smooth like the pot you use. Less dangerous too. They are like scissor sharpeners. :)

Thank you. I never knew I could sharpen my blades. Either used them dull or bought new ones.

If you can afford it, a whetstone is the best way to sharpen a blade. The ceramic technique is the closest in similarity. With sandpaper, higher the grit the better the edge you can achieve.

Thank you for this tutorial. Now I don't have to buy always new blades. It solves my problems with it. Cause I had a nail studio I have thousands of old nail files. I take them also for sanding.

To be much safer in cleaning your blade would be to wipe it from the back or dull side to the sharp end and same for the sharpening method as well. Love your videos all the same

justsoneat Ferdinand Agreed, I cringed every one she wiped the blade with a towel. We were always taught to wipe all blades from the back of the blade.

Hi Samantha great video, I am wondering if you can also use one of those sharpening stones I have one that came with my dremmel tool kit would that be ok to use one of those also?
@JessamaTutorials4 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't know as I've never used it. It should work so long as it's not too rough.

Hello! Could you please write what type of blades you use. In Europe the most popular are Fimo blades but honestly saying they are quite expensive. So, I was looking for a long time how to replace them. I hoped to find a kind of working tools but without a great success because the working tools blades are too stiff. Your blades have a hools at the edges so they are looking as a working tools bades. So please share with me this secret ;).
