Dude you don't have any of the motel aps on your son's phone, Wyndom, Motel 6, Best western all have aps that make it easy to book a head even if it is just an hour a head? It is a whole lot easier to reserving a motel room that away rather than calling. We ended up using Wyndom for almost all our rooms easy to lay out my route and book ahead. I quit sleeping in the front seat of the truck back in the 70s my old 64 F100 was a lot narrower than the newer cabs
