Canada's king of the rumba flamenco comes to Scottsdale! MUSICIAN JESSE COOK was playing with the ToneWoodAmp before sound check at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts.

I have been a big fan of Jesse Cook nearly two decades, and this sublime demonstration here is a great illustration of why people get hooked on his style of playing. All he is doing here is improvising, randomly fiddling with this instrument, and yet Jesse Cook's musical equivalent of "doodling" is far more layered, melodic, and creative than many intentionally crafted and professional produced musical pieces that are released for popular consumption. I am in absolutely awe of this man's talent. If God exists, and he plays the guitar, I would imagine he plays like Jesse Cook.

Ahh, Jesse Cook. I’m seen him live twice here in Canada and wow. He stirs the soul with his music and his band is the best. You certainly found the best of the best to test out your ToneWoodAmp. I have to get my husband to see this...I think he’d love that gadget!!

Is there a specific model of tone wood amp for a nylon electro acoustic or the normal model for electro acoustic works the same?

Incredible. The running water.....was that an effect or was it the dude walking around in the background??
@leoray12342 жыл бұрын
can someone explain how this would be amplified for a larger venue? Is the effect just coming out of the soundhole?

They sell a pickup that goes in between the strings and bridge.

A reply from about a year ago said it's a German Vazquez Rubio flamenco guitar. Sounds great, and it's certainly in the hands of a master when Jesse plays it. He's not the first amazing artist I've discovered through ToneWood videos. (Can't believe there were nine people who disliked the video. Oh, well.)

Who is the dude schlepping around in the background?
@alphacause5 жыл бұрын
That is Chris Church. He is Jesse Cook's violinist and duduk player. Mr. Church also serves as Jesse Cook's background vocalist. He is far from some random "dude" milling about in the background. He is a integral part of Jesse Cook's band. He is an amazing talent in his own right. I would urge you to watch this to see just how much of a virtuoso this "dude" truly is. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oajSqoaYjaqnfdE

1:45 when he added the bells to the strings ruins it, but I get it he’s trying to show layers 🙄

you have to have an electric acoustic....not an acoustic guitar.

Tonewood is a 300 dlls toy. I would prefer a good amp 20 watts and a good rev pedal. Or just a Roland ac 60 watts. It has many useful functions and effects. Same price.
@juanvaldez54225 жыл бұрын
I have plenty of amps. This is a different beast.
@joecarlo38484 жыл бұрын
With my Tonewood Amp, I don't have to tote said amp and pedal around for my guitar to bring awesomeness to a whole other level. Plus, the look on people's faces when they hear what this thing does is priceless!
