I had the honor of sparring with Jessie about 10 years ago. He just showed up at the Dojo and sparred with us. He did a spinning back kick that would have knocked me out, but managed to place it softly on the back of my head, smiled at me and shook my hand. Great warrior and person. Osu!

Hey Jesse I was out of Danbury ct. Sensei Manny Matias Was my instructor. Watching these videos, some of them from Fairfield CT,. When the part where you are kicking that practice pad, I am pretty sure I asleep behind the wall, about to get knocked down in my first knock down. I was wondering where all footage is. i.e. the black belt tests and the tournaments are. is there a place where we could get them? ORris that stuff all gone now?

I received my black belt from Saiko Shihan Y. Oyama (Soshu's brother) 3 years ago. This December will be my third knock down tournament. I am 16 years old and I'm very proud to be involved in what I'm in, and I plan to do this for a very long time and compete for a very long time.

@sapporo01 AH Sorry Hide I missed this message. As for karate - I can do some of it but computers and movies have replaced kicks and punches as of late! Yes karate has been amazing especially in terms of focus. You fought well back then and should be congratulated. Good luck with capturing those crooks and hope you are great.
