With this being his 6th YCS win, does that make Jesse the most decorated duelist of all time? I think when people talk about dueling legends, we talk about the Big Three: Patrick Hoban, Jeff Jones, Billy Brake. I think Jesse deserves to be cemented on that Mount Rushmore as well

I think DBG already mentioned it, but if instead of going for IP he started with going for Sequence first he should be able to end on an extra Apo (2) on top of his existing board. Even if Necroquip princess worked exactly as if Jesse thought it did, this still seemed like a better play.
@Avermra3 ай бұрын
also, is there a reason Game 2 Jesse started Turn 3 with the Engraver? If he started with One for One he can get to Flamberge before Summon 5, and it doesn't feel like that Engraver was going to bait out any HT unless Andre topped deck an Ash Blossom edit: he had Flam in hand so maybe if there is no better discard he wasn't even thinking about trying to get to Flamberge. Still I am not sure about the reason to lead off with Engraver.

The issue with Andre deckbuilding is that when you play a heavy handtrap deck that is also 40 cards, sooner or later you're going to draw very little to none non-engine. I really think that the issue is, you're going to see more Nibiru which is great, but when you don't have engine to back it up, you're not going to ever get to push for game, esp when trading turns with a deck that has so many spells/ eff mons you can topdeck to pop off. I think having 3x shifter 3x charmy 3x phantazmay with the magnamhut along with the terraforming 3x sangen summoning 3x sangen kaimen just helps you get going. I think Andre definitely could have played better, but also, I mean how would you feel when you were facing a 5 time ycs champ at a finals? In my past experience, a lot of duelist think because they're facing a top player, the odds are stacked against you but I mean you have to see it like you're going up vs a computer sometimes.

I would swear Blizzard was an out to mystic mine in typical fashion "Akchtually DBG it's just a CBTG for spells, negating the activated effects of that Spell and all Spell *_effects_* on the field with that same original name" but just in case I went back to check its text and 1 word is not there (effects) making it actually worthless against continuous effects. I knew there was a reason I never used that card. And here I thought this was great card design to the point we also need a Trap version that isn't as broken as Red Reboot.
