Ryan absolutely deserved this World Title. I remember when he got 2nd place at WCS Dragon Duel. I was so sad for him. Ryan Yu is an amazing player. Playing alongside Jesse and Raye definitely made it all that much better. Hope Konami gives them separate individual trophies and not make them share that one trophy.

What’s unfortunate is that after game 1, a lot of the element of surprise was gone since the competitor’s deck lists had been leaked on a popular streamer’s website, completely eliminating the need to play around certain hand traps or breakers for some matches. At least the 3rd party exploit was patched and shouldn’t be an issue in next years’s worlds.

One of the crystal beast cards adds a crystal beast monster and any field spell from deck to hand so it’s kinda like playing psy-frame driver to enable gamma

Basically it’s a garnet (it is only good when on the deck and bad or useless when in hand). You throw the rainbow bridge trap to the grave to search a field spell and a crystal beast, the turtle/tortoise is the best choice since it is aqua. So basically if you milled the trap you get a field spell and a material, for basically free.

In master duel it shows Tearlament is a Tier 3 deck but man Jessie plays it like it's Tier 1 just like Snake eye fire king. I used to duel when I was younger & I remember beating the best kids around then one day when I got back home from school my deck was missing from my backpack I put my energy, time & love into my Dark Magician deck 😢 after that I officially retired it hit me hard. 20 years later I just started dueling again on master duel & actually remembered exactly what cards I had. I played against 2024 WC Qualifier we dueled for 40 minutes, it was the duel of my life, I just kept saying to myself "believe in the heart of cards every time before I drew, Yugi is my idol.
