Maybe it’s because of PTSD from the Asian Cup, but I really want our next coach to put more emphasis on our defense more so than our attack. There’s no point in having the best forwards/wingers in Asia if our defenders can’t keep the ball away from our side of the pitch.

I'm an American, but I want the KFA to go with a Korean manager. I just don't see the point in outsourcing, but if you're going to outsource, how do you not hire the biggest name possible when you have the best Korean player of all time at the tail-end of his prime? This is Korea's best shot at getting a podium finish for a very long time... there's not gonna be another 손흥민 for a very, very long time.

The only coach that deserves to manage Korea is 신태용. But the problem is he'll be available since 2027. So after the asian cup in KSA, it might be the time for KFA to reappoint him.

@@BlockingAnalysis Don't think that Shin Taeyong will ever want to manage at the KFA again after what happened to him in 2018. He has improved his tactics and gotten results with Indonesia, but the memories of how KFA threw him under the bus will still sting. Would like to talk to him in 2027 after the Asian Cup ends and his contract is done with Indonesia, but don't know if he would be receptive.

The problem is that the domestic coaches are not that great. Plus the team wants a foreign coach.
