Yes its important, the coach of the national team program is usually also 'considered' the technical director (de facto) of the nations overall programs.. its great he is so involved early on

I'm not taking anything away from Jesse Marsch. He's done an excellent job and the enthusiasm around Canada Soccer is at an all time high. But...as much as Marsch has had a positive impact on the CNMT, I think the CNMT has also done the same for him. They're a perfect match for one another at the perfect time. Perhaps a few years ago, the fit wouldn't have been right. The efforts and the finances behind the hiring of Marsch need to be applauded. He has already been a foundational piece in the building of Canada Soccer.

I feel Canada Soccer are second class citizens in the eyes of Government. Politicians need to commit to athletics and sports. Makes zero sense when they dont.
