Jesse Marsch is magic, He wears a magic hat, He could have coached USA, But he said no fuck that, He wants to coach Canada in the famous red and white, And when we win the World Cup we’ll sing this song all night

I think our recent results have really sold me on Jesse. Honestly, CMNT have been excellent under his leadership. It is amazing beating the USA in the US! Wow! Super impressed.

He’s the right coach at the right time for the right players. Just a lot of fun to watch. I can’t help but see all the advertisements behind Jesse on the podium. Hopefully sponsors will start flocking to this team with the World Cup on the horizon. This program needs more eyes and more money which will in turn keep this ball rolling. If I’m a dual citizen, Canada has to become the premier choice for our players to want to play.

CMNT has been blessed with the coaching staff and players they’ve had through WC qualifying, the WC, Copa… in spite of the mess and distractions with Canada Soccer. Herdman was great for his tenure and Jesse has run with it now

What a super coach Jesse Marsch is his praise for the team is outstanding and you can tell that resonates right down to the players. He stands behind his players with nothing but positive vibes, this is the best soccer team Canada has produced so far without a doubt.

Ahmed just gotta keep doing what he's doing. He's a skinny spidery guy who should resist bulking up and keep that sharp & quick style
@craigb89458 күн бұрын
Shaf and Ahmed are both skinny fast dudes who have the talent to play in Europe. The fact that their so slight is probably the reason they haven't made a move, but the talent is there.
@sowaveysuyat8 күн бұрын
If he put on 5-10% extra muscle mass he’d be a bigger threat, trust. He gets pushed off the ball easily sometimes. If he was in Europe they’d put him on a program to improve that
@tenorref8 күн бұрын
Ali Ahmed did have a good game in many aspects, as Jesse Marsch said. Ali was intense, physical, and even displayed, in the words of Jimmy Brenan, “some sh*thousery.” It was good to see. Many of the lads did some, to some extent. To riff on Alastair Johnston, “F*ck it, we’re Canada: don’t expect to push us around anymore!” Go 🇨🇦⚽️

Let’s be clear this was a friendly. The US is rudderless and cannot possibly compete without a competent Manager in command driving discipline, enthusiasm and energy. Jesse brings that to Canada who , especially in the first half , played really well and totally deserved the win on the day. The worry for the US is that, apart from one or two players, they look really ordinary and well short of the requirements for international play. Pochettino , if he really is going to take this job, faces a major uphill battle to knock the program into shape.
@rogerc238 күн бұрын
You’re not wrong.
@seamusoleary37128 күн бұрын
It was just under a year ago that Canada appeared that way... after Herdman left, they weren`t good. The friendly in Japan was a disaster. They were dominated by a pretty good Japanese side (4-1), and now this team looks reborn under March.
@drewbranch77008 күн бұрын
We all know it was a friendly and it is clear it was a loss to Canada ,it is abundantly obvious;other than that,I align with your statement. What I have an issue with is mostly to do with our federation which really needs to re-evaluate how we do things compared to other successful fútbol federations from across the globe.
@mikepearson32268 күн бұрын
Agreed that the USSF is really in need of a major restructuring. It’s not at all clear that Pochettino is going to be the next National Team Manager many days after the story was leaked. Frankly, after yesterday’s effort I wouldn’t blame Poch for walking away. I know a few “stars” were missing but, even when they are available , they don’t show whatever qualities they may have . One too ,any of these players are not first team regulars in their club teams which begs a question as to to why they even be selected?
@BeHumbleAndLessArrogant6 күн бұрын
It's more than just a friendly, especially when all 3 hosts will have to depend on friendlies and regional tournaments since they won't be participating in the world qualifiers. The Usmnt did beat Mexico with an interim coach, so I don't buy the excuses. However this game wasn't significant enough for Canadians to crown themselves The Kings of Concacaf, like many are doing right now.

Canadian fans thinking Marsch is a top coach.
@mattmexor28827 күн бұрын
He is a good coach. American fans are more rudderless than the team. They get swayed by English media and Leeds fans because they have such little confidence in their own judgment. Both those sets of people have very strong biases that mean they will be against Marsch unless resoundingly proven otherwise. Leeds should have never fired Marsch. It was a big mistake though you won't hear many Leeds fans say that. The problem that club had that season and have had since then are because of Radrizzani and Orta, not Marsch. Leeds fans misunderstood Marsch's attitude and optimism and where it stems from. They are a chronically cynical and suspicious lot. CNT were not going to have a chance to get Klopp or Pochettino. If Marsch were not American he wouldn't have joined CNT both because he wouldn't have considered it and because he'd have better club opportunities than he currently gets. An American coach, especially one as brashly American as Marsch, is going to come with large overhead for any big (by big I mean Leeds level not Real Madrid level) European club. Marsch is miles better than Berhalter. USSF should have hired Marsch when they had the opportunity. Of course if they had we wouldn't be about to get Pochettino and Pochettino could turn out to be big for us. It is big for marketing and attention and urgency. And if Poch is successful maybe he will look at our 08s and 09s and decide he wants to develop and integrate some of that talent for 2030. But in terms of results Pochettino won't necessarily be better than Marsch would have been. And Pochettino now has less than 2 years and very little strongly competitive soccer available to him to right the ship. Marsch would have had a whole lot more time and competitive opportunities to put together a World Cup run.

Honestly, the US was poor and Canada was just okay. The US goal was because Canada fell asleep at the backline, and were no where near aggressive enough in closing down attackers and getting the ball cleared. A mid European or South American side would have punished either of them.
@mr.x96467 күн бұрын
I've been hearing this since Canada's draw against France in France. I think they have played 7 matches since then, and its always "Canada was lucky". That must must be one hell of a streak of luck.
