That's like every game in NHL 16. You shoot and shoot but nothing goes in.

Best ever zero points performance from any player in the whole world. Absolutely. So pity that he didn't record a goal. Next year.

In Finlands first game this World Championship Puljujärvi was amazing. Scored two goals and an assist, 3 points in his first game this year, now he has something to show for
@Pece178 жыл бұрын
Well, he sure got points this year...

I watch these highlights in nostalgic hope, he is the kind of player you want to see find his way because he has that Malkin, Wheeler quality in his game, massive size and dynamic skill to go with it. I know it's been a struggle at the NHL level and a part of me thinks hes a bust, but another part of me wants him to thrive because if he can get to that level, hes going to be a very dangerous player.

Dominant in this year's WJC. 3. pick in this year's draft for sure.

timomastosalo i didnt literally mean swedish. its a hockey saying, or at least it is in canada. all swedish no finnish means you have sweet moves but you cant finish, get it? lol

+hauzio Unlucky, but to whom? Teemu Selänne wore 13 when he made the rookie record steel unbeaten in the 90's. Don't give power to the superstition, that's WHY some Finnish (maybe others too) players want that number :)

Really impressive combination of size and speed, he reminds me somewhat of Jeff Carter with better hands or of Ilya Kovalchuk with less good hands.

I'm surprised he's ranked around the middle of the 1st round for 2016. He was the best player for Finland nearly every time he was on the ice and I think he definitely outplayed Auston Matthews in the tournament despite having no points.

Still have no idea how this kid didn't have a single point.... I am really excited to see how he develops and plays in the finnish elite league next year and how he plays at the WJC in Finland next year, jesus I cannot wait for hockey season to start.
@Heppapoika139 жыл бұрын
+James Middleton Yea Jesse was just unbelievably unlucky in that tournament. But we gotta remember that he was just 16 years old and that dangerous with tons of golden scoring chances. Jesse Puljujärvi and Patrik Laine will be offensive powerhouses for Finland in couple of years :)

sure he's having trouble scoring but look at how outstanding he is at setting up plays for himself. Also this was when he was 16 playing against older guys.

+Andrew Persaud Yeah but being able to make those plays as a 16-year-old against 19-year-olds is pretty impressive. His shot has probably improved since, we'll see when WJC starts on the 26th.

present day? no. last year, yes. he's improved over the year. it's still not nhl calibre like Laine's shot though. still needs to continue working on it. am i wishing my team drafts puljujarvi? hell yes

Andrew Persaud And what team would that be? Agreed, his shot is not the best among this year's prospects, but his playmaking in this tournament is unparalleled.
