They didn't say "Well they're just moving in so we shouldn't fill the drawers because it would make no sense." They didn't fill the drawers because it's a horror game. It's like the MGSV Quiet thing where she had no clothes on and the reason was she breathes through her skin. They designed the reason to fit her clothes. They didn't design the clothes to fit her reason.

The reason that there are empty drawers is psychological(Skinner box), if all the drawers had something in it it would make the event less substantial over time. On the other hand if there are only empty drawers then there is no reason to open any. So the best way to push you to look is if there is an occasional reward, preferably a random chance seems to work best.

There doesn't need to be useful items in all of the drawers, they just need to have random things in them, like clothes or papers. That's where I think people who aren't thinking about game design are coming from. Most games have explanations for these sorts of things though, like the first half of this one can be explained as them just having moved in.

Guys it's the M in the title of the letter - it's dropped down slightly like the others. You read the ring the wrong way when you were trying to figure it out - you don't read from the outer ring when taking the F from the solution (which is how you got Y), you read back from the inner ring which gives you M.

For the decryption puzzle around 28:10 you made the mistake of linking F to Y, but that was the decrypted version, F was the answer, so you need to look at the inner circle. There it corrosponds with M. Then on the paper you can see in the all capitals title, the 4th row the M is a little lower than all the other letters (close to the end of the sentence). A little too well hidden because it breaks the pattern of the rest, but it's definitely there :p

If you didn't know - Brian Villalobos, who voiced Nicolas, is an actor first but he also streams on Twitch as LOBROCOP and his brother is Twitch-streamer LobosJR. Personally, I enjoyed the playthrough of the Soulsborne series he did with his brother. The VOD's are at least available on KZbin on LobosJR's channel, if you're so inclined. Just search for "Lobrosouls"/"Lobroborne". Watch Brian Villalobos and his fabulous hair go from zero to parry god in Soulsborne, all while pretending there's no such thing as stamina. It's quite a ride :)

I have a theory from watching this video. The murderer at the beginning -is- Adam, physically. However, it's not Adam mentally. From how things look, it appears as though the quite literal bad blood that was created in the mid to early 1800's led to various murders, and the spirits of the scorned victims remain attached to the house. I didn't catch if that family in the 1800s was related to the same family that owned it in the beginning of the game, however, it would make more sense if it was (but it makes since either way). Anywho, my theory is that those ghosts haunt the house and eventually possess Adam (he -did- say he now works from home; constant exposure to the spirits and their energies), turning him into the murderer. And since he is wearing a mask and is possessed, his voice is changed, and his wife cannot tell it's him. Thoughts, everyone?

My first thought after the intro cutscene was that it was some kind of split personality thing and that the killer was Adam. In that case, after watching the video, possession would make more sense. The only question I'd have in that case is, whose head is it? The house is in a fairly remote area, and the moving company was already gone.
