NEEDS MORE AERIAL VIEWS The builds were impressive, but I was expecting a massive nostalgia rush. I loved seeing the town from above, and I enjoyed the bridge, and even though they were newer versions of the sprites, seeing the characters and the bosses and the NPCs almost made me giggle with childish glee. This was such a huge game from my childhood. Thanks for doing this Jesse!

@OMFGcata You should include it in your rpg makers map :), it doesn't even have to be part of the main storyline, could be like a sidequest or just a town to add to the scenery. You should also recruit that guy and make him do a sprite and use it as a boss battle, like you would see the huge sprite glaring down at you and then you would have to go through a series of obstacles like jumping bits and avoiding arrows etc. to get to a lever that activates tnt and blows him up :)

@SomeRandomMoron I have to agree about the FFVI thing. The only thing that could get a little annoying for some would be things like timed events, where you have 5 or so minutes to do something, or how annoyingly hard it could be sometimes to save Cid. Other than that, it is one of my favorites, even though i have never beaten it. I still have to go with FF1+2 on the GBA though. I couldn't bring myself to play it again now, but it was a lot of fun, many moons ago.

@Kapteinkoose The best FF is a matter of opinion, and most choose the first one they played (including myself with FFIV). As for someone just getting into it I'd say VI is probably the best choice, not certain on that though.

@cryptomatic7 The GUI scale is just set to normal/small. I like it at small normal because it just feels like the GUI fills the entire screen. Mixed with quake pro FOV and normal GUI. You can see alot more then you'd expect.

@marmelade8 SquareSoft was about to go out of business back in the day, and so they decided to call the original "Final Fantasy" that as it would be the last game they ever made. As it happened the game became so popular it saved the company from bankruptcy, and so the Final Fantasy franchise was launched.

@Pathrone Honestly, the guys (originals, not the horde of helpers...) that made the middle earth map should just kick everyone off but maybe two guys and Jesse. Then give him a full tour and let him do anything he wants to make a great video. Not only do I want to see that, but it would give them a lot of publicity.

@Kapteinkoose You should start with Final Fantasy 6-9(Final Fantasy 6 is Final Fantasy 3 in japan), I started at 7 but it's totally up to you. They have revisited FF1-2 and possibly 6(3) for Gameboy so you can check them out.

@SBTiska The only reason FF7 gets so much love is it was many gamers' first introduction to a large 3d world, and the nostalgia factor. It might be in the top 5 (maybe) but there are much better Final Fantasy games.

I really need to complete final fantasy 1... bought 1-6 at once and almost had a mind implosion trying to complete them all at once. I remember one though cos it was pretty damn epic, and quite strange, theres no main hero you just choose a team from different classes then set off on adventure

@Kapteinkoose I'd avise starting with 4/5 or 6. Although, if you start by one of those, you might be disappointed with all the modern ones. If you have an OCD, you'll probably wanna start with the first, although it'll get boring after a while since it isn't that big and you have to grind levels a bit.
