dude! this is my second day drinking butter coffee and that's exactly how I felt! the first day the feeling came a few hours after the butter coffee wore off and today it came 10 minutes after i drank it. i too use only regular coffee and unsalted grass-fed butter. at least until my first supply of mct oil comes in the mail in a few days.

@@claraestrada5080 The salt serves the same purpose as salting vegetables or meat--it enhances the flavor of the butter, and used to be used as a preservative. It isn't a lot of salt--only a half teaspoon per cup of butter. I don't use salted butter for baking, because it does mean fiddling with the salt added to the recipe, but on breads and vegetables, it's delicious.

@@tracygoode3037 still dont understand why one would buy both kinds if you can just buy unsalted and add if needed. if you bought salted and you have a craving for buttered toast with jam, you would have to run out to get unsalted. i get what it is used for, i have salted butter. i just dont get why it is sold as a separate thing when it is so easily adjusted at home with just adding salt, which is something everyone has

Butter is just overchurned (more concentrated) cream, so I dont think chemically there's any difference in the end product, and no reason to expect anything unusual from this cup of coffee (energy wise) other than a slightly different taste. And if you use salted butter, it'll make the cup taste a bit less bitter.

wolverineboy97 no that dilutes the energy benefits of butter coffee. My opinion is that if you want something sweet have a banna with it or add a bit of whey protein but standard forms of sweeters ie. Sugars will otherwise kill the nenfirs you receive.

Woah what!? this is good…. All i tweaked was salted butter, and a TBS of collagen (biotrust, no flavor, incredible brand, buy it) maple syrup (did you use that?) and i used a protein shake blender cup. Omg this is rich but not sickeningly so. The cream absorbs the MTC oils nicely. the syrup pairs amazingly with that rich butter to give it that real pancake breakfast feel. But its not sweet like a coffee stand coffee, its reasonable and healthy amount of sweet. Im about to make a second cup. So good

Are you using salted butter? Because that makes a nasty butter coffee. Try unsalted Kerrygold butter.

LMAO - Actually it took me a whole month to make this cup of coffee. Made it every morning in front of the camera and failed the slo-mo portion (splash didn't sploosh right) at least 25 times before getting it right.
