I think the funniest thing about this for me is when I was reading City of Fallen Angels for the first time, my book ACTUALLY WAS MISSING LIKE THE LAST 60 PAGES and I was like what no this can't be it THERE HAS TO BE MORE... so I went to the Barnes and Noble I bought it from and turns out there actually was!! HAHA. All of the copies at that location had a misprint. MY FRUSTRATION WHEN I THOUGHT IT WAS THE END WAS REAL. Great video, Jesse, I really like these fun videos you've been doing lately :)

This has happened to me before too. My copy of Irene Radford's The Last Battlemage ended in the middle of a character's line of dialogue. It was the second book in a series and I don't know that I kept reading the rest, not having read the actual ending of that book.

I feel your pain once I borrowed a book from a library and two of the main characters had been killed off and I went to turn the last page and it was ripped out, the devastation I felt made me want to cry but then I went to a different library and got another copy of the book just to read the last two pages ( yes i'm that person).

The death part or something else? Been a while since I read it, but that’s what’s stuck in my mind. The death, though, I saw coming the moment you get to read from Four’s POV, because there is no reason whatsoever to switch character POV in the last book unless you kill the MC and want to continue the story beyond that. If she had set up POV switching from the first book, then it would be more difficult to predict. (But once the hesitant character goes against the “better judgement” they’ve been professing for the whole series and shags their love interest with next to no warning/lead up , I know for a fact that one of them will die. A plot point that has never been deviated from in all the years I’ve been reading YA)

A Tale of Two Cities was a perfect ending. It honestly was the only part of the story I enjoyed. It preserved the main characters while giving another character a chance to become a hero, even though he wasn't a redeeming character until then. That wasn't an emotional wreck for me, it was a satisfied sigh... those who lived deserved to live, the one who died had a purpose to die.

I saw your early comment before you rewrote it or erased and I don't appreciate how rude you were. I can tell you love animals very much as do I ( it's the whole reason I'm a vegetarian) . The only reason I called HIM an it is because I didn't know HIS gender or name.

And there is a difference between "good" sad endings and "terrible" sad endings. Like Clockwork Princess, my heart was shattering into a million pieces but it was the best way possible for those three characters, while Allegiant, UGH its been almost 3 yrs since I read that and I am STILL PISSED ABOUT THAT TOTALLY UNNECESSARY!!!

HER FEARFUL SYMMETRY was a book that can destroy you. Read it years ago during a freezing cold February, had to take a long run in the snow to come to terms with the injustice of the ending. During the run I had to stop and beat the ground with anger and sadness over the pain and desolation I felt for the character. Never had such a strong emotional reaction to a book. Still think of it and am disturbed about my reaction. Was a great book and loved reading it, but when i was finished I was outraged with despair for the character. I'm afraid to re-read it. I'm not a weak or silly person but this book resonated and touched a nerve inside me that is still raw.

This was me while I read "A Court of Thorns and Roses". I put it in the freezer for half an hour. I cried at school and nearly slapped some boys across the face with it when they were pretending to care and saying I should talk about it. I put it in my friend's lunchbox because there was no freezer, or a microwave to burn it in. So yeah... that was not a good day at school.
