@kanashiiookami65374 жыл бұрын
The death part or something else? Been a while since I read it, but that’s what’s stuck in my mind. The death, though, I saw coming the moment you get to read from Four’s POV, because there is no reason whatsoever to switch character POV in the last book unless you kill the MC and want to continue the story beyond that. If she had set up POV switching from the first book, then it would be more difficult to predict. (But once the hesitant character goes against the “better judgement” they’ve been professing for the whole series and shags their love interest with next to no warning/lead up , I know for a fact that one of them will die. A plot point that has never been deviated from in all the years I’ve been reading YA)

It preserved the main characters while giving another character a chance to become a hero, even though he wasn't a redeeming character until then. Clockwork Princess, Mark of Athena, The Darkest Minds Series (books 1, 2, and the novella bind-up collection), We Are The Ants (A HIGHLY recommendation), A Torch Against The Night, This Monstrous Thing, Tattoo Atlas, and - most recently- A List of Cages.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows...my fav but after I read it I felt like I had no purpose. Now I'm obsessed with HP Fanfiction. And also We Were Liars and The Blood of Olympus. It wasn't resolved. And I know there's the Trials of Apollo but I've read better Fanfictions about the aftermath than that.

HELPPPP I CANT REMEMBER THE TITLE OF A BOOKI READ A YEAR AGO AND I LOVED ITTTTTTTTTTTTT it’s about a girl who has to work to pay the bills for her house. She’s a highschooler and has to take care of her sister. Her mom left and her dad is in rehab and she has a crush on her best friends sister but then her best goes into a coma and that’s how it ends I think

HER FEARFUL SYMMETRY was a book that can destroy you. Read it years ago during a freezing cold February, had to take a long run in the snow to come to terms with the injustice of the ending. During the run I had to stop and beat the ground with anger and sadness over the pain and desolation I felt for the character. Never had such a strong emotional reaction to a book. Still think of it and am disturbed about my reaction. Was a great book and loved reading it, but when i was finished I was outraged with despair for the character. I'm afraid to re-read it. I'm not a weak or silly person but this book resonated and touched a nerve inside me that is still raw.

This was me while I read "A Court of Thorns and Roses". I put it in the freezer for half an hour. I cried at school and nearly slapped some boys across the face with it when they were pretending to care and saying I should talk about it. I put it in my friend's lunchbox because there was no freezer, or a microwave to burn it in. So yeah... that was not a good day at school.
