I don't technically DNF books. If I get bored or really don't want to read it (usually 50-100 pages in) I'll just skim read the rest or put it down for a little while, but I always finish it eventually.

It's my favourite series of all time! When i first read it, I loved the first two books but looking back on it now, the proper plot doesn't really start until Heir of Fire, the plot of Throne of Glass seems very unrelated (until you start finding out lots more details later on) so I get what you mean but it gets so much more into the fantasy later on! And totally worth it, in my personal opinion :)

I was reading Fenrir when my order of Interview with a Vampire came in. It had beautiful ink too. I dropped Fenrir at ‘Part II’, read Interview with a Vampire in maybe a week or two, and returned to Fenrir. Trying to remember what was going on aside, I have no regrets.

The Raven Boys has been in the DNF zone for me for the past three years because it's confusing at first, but I got through the confusing part and finished the entire series in a week! It's now one of my favourite series of all time, it took me out of a massive reading slump and I would 100% recommend reading on.

But one he didn't talk about was the "library due date" one, where you check out a bunch (or even a few) books and one or two you never get to or finish before they're due so you return them, often never to be checked out again... or is that just me?

The left behind totally happened to me. I was halfway through Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness when I lost it and could not find it for like a year and as soon as my mom bought me a new one I found it. But by the time I found it I had forgotten everything that happened in that book and the previous book so I had to reread the first book only to find out that my mom decided to lend the first book to my sister. It's been 4 years now and I still haven't gotten that book back and I haven't finished the trilogy yet.

It happened to me with Glass Sword, it sucks too because I only had like 7 chapters to go and I already had the rest of the series which I was hyped to read. I got hit with a major reading slump and didn't read for like 2 months and when it was over I just didn't pick it up again. Finally re-reading the first books though so I can finish the series.
