Anybody who believes this garbage about “private companies are free to censor you” is COMPLETELY ignorant about what the original intent of the first amendment was and what the founders had in mind when they wrote it. In the 1700s there was no one to censor you besides the government, so much like the vaguery of the second amendment, the first amendment was written at a time when no one had any clue about the internet or social media or anything like that. I am VERY sure that the founders, had they known, would absolutely have written the first amendment to say that NOBODY has the right to censor others. If you actually believe in free speech, you MUST believe that NOBODY should have the power to censor, public or private.

Nothing Jessica said was even remotely worthy of being censored or construed as violent. But the problem is that her side decided it was okay to censor speech it didn't like if it meant their political enemies were being hurt by it. The second they got a taste of their own medicine and realized how senseless it is, well that's not right! It was all so predictable it would happen this way. More left-leaning folks need to come to grips with how dangerous censorship is before we can make any progress because it's still mostly independents and conservatives that protect free speech.
