Agreed. I don’t think he’s smart enough to have covered his tracks so well and pass a polygraph...don’t think they proved a motive either, and since they never did a rape kit (big faux pas) they can’t even speculate that he killed her to avoid an assault charge. There was no evidence by the medical examiner that she’d been choked or knocked out, so it doesn’t even make sense that she was lit on fire to cover up another crime. She was conscious when first responders arrived, so that makes it even less plausible. I also want to know more about this middle aged man present at the crime scene and why he was there. Too much reasonable doubt here to arrive at a guilty verdict.

Everyone should try taking their fingers (assuming they are clean), hold their own tongue (this is the equivalent of a swollen tongue) and attempt to say “Tillis”. Now imagine trying to understand that next to two full sized Diesel engines and water pumps going. Sounds a lot like “Eric or Derrick” doesn’t it? This girl had a severely swollen tongue and definitely couldn’t say Quentin. It shouldn’t be too hard to figure that out. If only they had a speech analyst in to testify as an expert.... Couple that with the simple fact that Jessica didn’t even know an Eric or a Derrick And there goes the whole “Eric” argument.

In front of people. They thought it was a bundle of clothes until they heard the baby crying. People are sick and this is a sick world. That being said, don’t be so quick to dismiss Quinton as the killer. He’s involved in two other cases where he is the prime and only suspect at this point. One is the torture of another woman, and the other is a murder. Can’t put anything past anyone these days.

I think the Eric thing should be thrown out and not considered..she CANNOT possibly know who started her on fire. If I’m correct I believe she tried to say the first name “Quinton”first but due to tongue and larynx damage it was sounding like “Courtney “ or “ Katrina” . We also need to consider the fact of a timeline in that the damage to her lungs , larynx , tongue was quickly getting worse , not better. I think at some point she still had the cognition to perhaps realize the first name was not working so resorted to trying to verbalize the last name ; ie “Tellis” heard as Eric . At that point in the “damage to her vocalization” perhaps T’s were no longer available for her to verbalize . Make a little more sense now? Maybe the prosecution should let the jury hold their tongues on the exhale and try to simulate the damage and distress Jessica may have been going through as she tried to say Quinton and then resorted to the last name Tellis ....but it was coming out as Courtney and Eric instead . Poor dear . 😥 Just an idea. Glad to see atleast some of you have actually tried it and maybe get what I’m saying.

@jennifers.38185 жыл бұрын
I wish prosecution had asked Keisha if Jessica ever told her his name during those few days. if she ever heard Jessica call him by name. also, what name Jessica had Quinton in her phone under. its very common for these types of guys to lie to girls about their names or to tell them things like 'my names quinton but everyone calls me Eric'. they don't want their real names associated with them for multiple reasons. he obviously was messin around with alot of girls. if they all call him by a different name the chances of bein caught up are less. not to mention if they're into illegal dealings. either she knew him as Eric, she was trying to say Tellis, or her mind was extremely confused...which could be high chance

He was given 10 years for unauthorized use of a credit/debit card in Louisiana. The owner of the card was stabbed to death. It's my understanding that Louisiana was waiting to see what happened with the retrial in Mississippi before formally charging him with murder.

@nicolebee32733 жыл бұрын
I encourage anyone reading to try and say "Tellis" without moving your lips or tongue, her enunciation and pronunciation would have been inhibited if not impossible to properly express or articulate herself due to the burns on her face/mouth area and throat, I'm willing to even assume she probably couldn't draw a full breath from smoke inhalation. "Tellis" and "Eric" or "Derek" both have two syllables and if you are unable to express full range of motion/have limited mobility, breathe, and your throat has been scorched it could DEFINITELY be misheard as "Eric" or "Derek". I would have had the jurors try and say "Tellis" without moving their tongues or lips in closing arguments one at a time, and then asked if it could have been misunderstood as "Eric" or "Derek". There is no way first responders could have comprehended her whatever she was trying to say through no fault of their own if I may add.

liselle sloan ...his DNA was not found in her apartment where she was found murdered and rotting. That’s why he was only found guilty of using the credit card...couldn’t not charge him on anything else. Sorry!!!

So called African Americans don't get justice in this country.

When the defense said, did she call him anything but cute. I thought he said anything but Q. Then I realized, it's Q with a bad mouth that can sound somewhat like K. The q has a hard ca sound. I'm surprised I missed that when I watched the first trial. It's Q. She could barely pronounce her letters and said the easiest thing to say...Q. She probably said k or coo because her tongue was swollen and she couldn't pronounce the Q and they added the R before the "Q" sound because their minds wanted to fill in the words. I need to know if she was breathing hard when she pronounced her words and if she said k but it came out as ek because of the breath trying to push the words out.

I do not believe he killed her. Just because he erased calls and texts off his phone only proves 1 thing, and that's the fact he didnt want to get caught up with his girlfriend who was coming to see him. I believe that's the only reason. His girlfriend also has a brother named Eric, and this is the same Eric who if I'm not mistaken was involved or gave the police info on the other case Tellis is involved in. Would make sense if his girlfriend had her set up. But that's just speculation
