She wanted to open her own fashion line and got approval from SM and team members. But later on members changed their mind because of jealousy and also their parents played a big role in Jessica’s removal. I must say she hit the rock bottom at this point. After this event I started to pay attention to her and seeing her went through the toughest time and slowly building up her solo career make me become a fan of her. I hope she gets more attention in the future ❤

There are a couple vids from live performances at Jessica's concerts shared by fans on youtube. The thing you mentioned about autotune actually messing up vocals a bit is true & I don't understand why Jessica didn't ban it from her album. Years ago Amber performed on a live show with her f(x) bandmate Luna where they covered a sad Korean love song. (Sugarman, episode 6. Song title translated: Just a Love) The premise for the show seemed to be that the show would have different challenges each week which established artists could apply for individually (unlike other shows where artists appear from the 1st episode & keep going the whole season until they're cut). So 1 week the challenge was for artists in a group to do a duet with 2 members, but it had to be the lead vocal & lead rapper. Luna talked Amber into doing it with her & they surprised everyone because they were the only group to not do a song that had a rap feature in it. They got 2nd place for that episode, despite the fact Luna had been quite sick the day before & so many fans requested to be able to buy it as a single. Only problem was if you just watch the video put out by the tv channel the sound is great. But to buy the single you had to get it from SM & take a guess what they did? Yep, they took the show's audio & ran it through autotune before putting it onto the purchasing platforms. So many fans bought it & then discovered it sounded off, with the autotune so severe the emotion was drained from their voices & it affected the tonal qualities of both singers which fans loved. Despite all 5 members of f(x) being great vocalists, Krystal, Luna & Amber had vastly more fans singling them out as their favorite in the group. Most of the fans that bought the single then complained to SM about the quality, saying that the autotune messed with Amber's & Luna's unique voices, making them sound more generic. I think whoever decided that SM had to mess with the sound recording done by the tv studio before it could be approved for sale obviously didn't actually listen to the live, they just assumed a live performance would have too many "imperfections" that would ruin SM's image. Amber & Luna actually make a great duet combo, with their voices complementing each other well & a lot of f(x) fans like myself really love the Lunber sub-unit songs. Amber doesn't even consider herself a "true rapper" because she's not good at freestyling lyrics & she prefers singing to rapping despite being considered in the top female rappers @ SM when f(x) was active. She likes it well enough to take lead rap position in her group, but she really likes singing better & spends most of her time continuing to develop that more over rap. In fact a few of her solo songs feature male artists rapping. Oh my god, I love her! I own all of her albums and both of her novels. I am so happy you are reacting to this song. It is my favorite of her's and everyone else in the fandom loves it. If it was a risk, then it paid off. I love Amber here, too. Their voices go so well together. Amber surprised the audience in Jessica's concert in Singapore to perform this song, and Jessica said that she loved Amber's singing voice so much that she used over 90% of the recordings Amber sent her. I am genuinely happy to see this because this is her first album in 6 years after her 10th anniversary and I love how much this song receives attention. I love the lyrics "My queendom never needed a king" and "you did what I never could". So simple but so poignant. I also think that this is just a break up song, and nothing to do with her previous label. She is blacklisted like JYJ, and she even alluded to that in her novels, which were based on her.
