Jessica Lange is the greatest actress of her generation. The versatility of her work from stage to screen to TV and the choices she makes ("FRANCES","SWEET DREAMS", "AMERICAN HORROR STORY", "FEUD", "A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE", "LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT" and now "MOTHER PLAY") show she is not afraid to go where the difficult, complex, painful emotions and situations are-- and she brilliantly, seemingly effortlessly, takes audiences with her.

THE GREATEST!!! 👑❤️ I saw her twice in this play, she left me speechless. Her talent is literally insane, it's insane how good she is. I don't think there's anyone better and I hope she wins that Tony because no one deserves it more than her

I so wish I could have seen it! I live too far away. From the sounds of it, Sarah Paulson will be winning the Tony. Did you manage to see her play?

@@samsong24 oh I'm so sorry for you! I came from Europe just to see her play and for that I'm so grateful and feel lucky that I was able to experience such an unforgettable thing as witnessing her acting live and so close. And yes, I saw Sarah's play too and didn't like it as much as Mother Play. Me and my friends all thought that it was too long and boring in some places...it dragged out. Sarah was very good but Jessica is better. She just is. I would've give Sarah the Tony any other year but Jessica gave much better and nuanced performance in Mother Play and that's why I think she deserves it more.
