Jessica was diagnosed at the age of 27, runs her own dog walking and animal care business.
Jess talks about wanting to get diagnosed before becoming a mum, and describes ADHD as “the simplest of things sometimes felt like such a hurdle” and that she finds that there’s a big divide in the knowledge of ADHD in the people she discloses her ADHD to.
Having recently started on ADHD medication, she found that it has had life changing effects, from a decrease in social anxiety to feeling much happier and lighter.
She advises women who suspect they have ADHD but haven’t felt like getting a formal diagnosis to believe in your intuition and have the courage to push for a diagnosis because we deserve answers. While our symptoms may typically manifest as depression or anxiety, it might have an underlying cause for these signs.
