Well she was obviously the better singer than Phillips. But she choked during the final. Not even nearly delivering to Phillips standards. I think Phillips win was fair. The only injustice I think here is Joshuas elimination. He absolutely deserve to win. Even better than Jessica to be honest.

WOW. There have ever only been two people who could sing that song. Now there are three. I don't follow the show but it would be hard to imagine that anyone could beat that. The tonal clarity, precision pitch and flat out range were very satisfying and inspiring to listen to. What a refreshment from bubble gum imitations and strained pretentious originals. I am prepped to buy and expecting great things.

True - Dolly Parton wrote it and first performed it in something like 1974. Her performance was a country and western ballad with a spoken part. However, Whitney Houston is the one that made it a mainstream, iconic classical love song and her musical treatment was much more demanding - the reason every talent start attempts her version. This girl is incredible, has been since she was 10, and will give fans much enjoyment for years to come.
