(c) 2004 Columbia Records
A Texas native, Jessica Simpson began her career in gospel music and in her teenage years, signed to Columbia Records. She released her first album at the peak of the teen pop era during the late '90's. She was marketed as a contrast to Britney Spears due to her more innocent image and powerful singing voice. Simpson went on to release three more pop albums, two Christmas albums and a country album as well as run a successful business.
Released in 2003, In This Skin peaked at #2 in the US and was certified triple platinum. The album was re-released in 2004 with three new songs. Two singles were released.
Released as the fourth single from the album (the second from the re-release), Angels failed to chart in the US.
