HOW long do polygel nails last?
@TheBeautyVault5 жыл бұрын
@@dimondss101 Around 3 weeks if you prep the nails really well and apply the dual forms tightly around the cuticle. It also depends what you do with your hands. I'm pretty hands on and am always cleaning and banging my hands around and they've lasted through it all.

OK so I've watched about 428,000 dual form videos from nail Tech's and amateurs and I have to say that this is by far the best and most thorough and informative video I've seen so far. I've watched it at least 20 times because I suck at doing my own nails and this is the only video that really helped. Thank you so much and please do more dual form tutorials!

I used to do acrylic nails when i worked in a salon. I have not done nails in such a long time. But when I left the salon gel nail were coming around. Now there are dip nails which I tried and did liked them because they don't look natural. People came to me at the salon because my work look natural. Im back to wanting nails but I don't want to spend money when I can do them. But yes I do like this video and it's only the second video. Un like you lol just kidding 😂😂. 😊 . Well my friend showed me opi gels colors. It's ok but I'm interested in this form too. I've seen it in fb and of course KZbin. Can't wait to get started.

I'd like to say, I am a licensed nail tech of many years. I never used anything except Solar Radical and I want to tell you young lady, i am stoked at your video! I will do these as i cant see any true damage and the ease is great. Could you tell us how do they hold up? I see so many techs do gels and you can see the gels away from the cuticles. I hate this look as it looks fake. Please let me know how well they hold up and what's the procedure to remove them. You should consider being a tech. Your a beautiful lady I think you said you do make up If I heard correctly. I have a mole in my eyebrow that really bothers my ability to have nice brows. Watched this about 20 times this week waiting on my Amazon Beetles poly gel kit. (only one under 2 weeks to deliver) Been experimenting with it for about 3 days. Here is what I noticed for fellow newbies. -It's is stickier and gritter than the one you show -Slip solution I mix is 2/3 70% alcohol 1/3 91% alcohol seems to keep it from separating and keeps it smoother -make practice nails without applying them. Lots of them. You will waste less gel and see the spots on the form you tend to miss. -bonus doing loose practice nails also helps you get the best size -knowing my first attempt, I'd hate, I did not use bonder popped off in about 24 -after spatulaing your initial ball in the middle of the form let it sit for a minute and level. You will have a better feel for if you have too much or not enough -If you are consistently not getting enough on side walls, turn the brush 90 degrees and pat/squish the ball in half, patting down the center of the form to cuticle. Then smooth out the center. -Turn lamp on before you apply nail. -Once under lamp use free finger on opposite hand to press on base of form right above cuticle for 10 sec or until you feel the top of the nail "grab" , the use spatial to press down on base of nail where you figure was. Way less lifting. - The efile with sanding band under your nail to hollow it out is awesome. -when moving with band to thin out the right and left edges on the underside of my Dom hand, I found it helpful to have efile set in reverse in right side and forward on the left to keep it from accidently going "round the world" to the top side and cracking the sides in the process. Keep up the great work and be well..thank you again for the Video Carrie Jones.

I’ve watched other tutorials on this but you’re the first one I’ve seen with the tip about doing it thin and then going back and adding more underneath. I think it’s genius. It probably also reduces the need to file the area underneath. When other people do it, it’s all lumpy underneath and they have to use the efile to smooth it out.

I'm really glad polygel has taken off, I love working with it and so much easier than acrylics and not as damaging, and if you use tips even if you're not the best at shaping or they lift, using the tips then polygel over the top, it gives you a nail that doesn't put stress on the polygel and eliminates lifting. I've had my current set on for six weeks and no lifting 😋

I know I'm a little late to the party, but I bought a poly-gel kit months ago to help save money. The salon is nice and relaxing but costs so much! Anyway, I've watched a ton of videos on how to apply and this one is the best, most precise one I've seen! I love your delivery of information, tips and tricks, and the fact that you're not afraid of showing or telling us about mistakes you made in the process. I've been so nervous about trying them for the first time. I have high expectations about the result, but I'm also realistic. I know that my first attempt(s) will not be perfect but after watching this video, I have more confidence in what I'm doing. Thank you so much!

Great video. I have been using Dashing Diva. I like them but find I have a lot of extra nail tips I can't use. Do you reuse the nail tips for your next time you do your nails?

I’m pretty happy to see this. My polygel comes today. I watched some pretty strange videos. Some extremely thick nails, no filing the bottom etc. So thank you !!

I absolutely love you , you spirit, your tutorials no matter what category. The way you innocently use curse words. How u stopped talking during the application process which helped me alot. I hate every video ive ever watched until I watched yours .. thanks so much

I bought my polygel set a week ago and while I'm not mad about how they turned out, I knew I had a lot more practice to do before they looked really good. My biggest problem was figuring out how thick i should put on the dual form, and watching you put the bead in the MIDDLE instead of the cuticle edge was GENIUS. And also leaving the nail thinner the first time and then building more off of it after it's cured was amazing also, thank you for these tips!!!
@kimberlyspiegelhalter467 Жыл бұрын
I love that you weren’t afraid to add more product if you needed to. It is a lot easier to control the thickness of the nail that way. Thank you for sharing this with us. (even if I am just seeing this for the first time and the video was made years ago LOL) New Subscriber here! ❤❤❤

Please do the gelish kit review! I bought the gelish polygel kit and I HATED IT. Like with a passion of a thousand burning suns. I tried so hard to make it work. The only good thing that came from me getting the kit is that it came with a full size gelish top coat and some other stuff like dehydrator.
