Well actually every relationship is a give and take…and definitely transactional. U both have to have something to offer for the quality of the relationship to survive which can be many different things but never think someone is attracted to your friendship for no reason , it’s something in u that they want to add to their life and Vice versa!! So transactional isn’t a bad thing unless u have nothing good to offer others!!

I understand your hesitation in being soumoun. They instilled that in us but what I've learned that isolating our selves in away makes us outsiders. I'm a Taurus (like Kandi) and most of us are known for being really good, genuine friends to those we love since we are naturally supportive, loyal, and caring. We love really hard and always want to see those close to us win genuinely. Because of this, I used to get really hurt when people I considered my friends did not reciprocate my supportiveness. After many years I have to realize that many people just don't know what it is to be a friend. It's not about always agreeing with others. It's about treating others as you would want to be treated and always asking yourself if you are pouring into your friends the same way that you want them to pour into you. Relationships should be reciprocal and this concept just comes easier for most Tauruses because of our giving personality. I have learned not to expect so much from others and to set boundaries and speak up when I feel that someone close to me isn't being a friend. I show them grace now and allow them some time to self correct since no one is perfect. If I'm moving wrong, I want my true friends to call me out on my sh*t as well. But if you speak up and the person doesn't adjust and correct things, then they are not friend material and you can either keep them around as an associate or cut them off entirely...up to you. This includes family members as well...they can get cut off too if necessary 😂.

We are meant to stand out and not "fit in" so to speak. What is truly fitting in anyways? I think that as we all do, we have to get out of our own heads and be intentional about building those relationships and let things happen organically. Let our "standout" ability add value to any situation we are in and around. You have found your people. Let people love on you and allow yourself to let some of your walls down that you've built around yourself and welcome some people in. Not everyone is a bad and horrible person. Not everyone is gonna hurt you. And then there are people that will but it's all about taking chances and praying about the situations and people that surround you and knowing where to place people in your circle that surrounds you. I remember when I was younger, my aunt would get angry because I was like everyone is my friend. You are so right, friendships, just like romantic relationships takes time, there are levels to this ish. But the most important part is to stop being critical of yourself and let people love you ❤

Also, and please don’t take this the wrong way but sometimes you have to be appreciative for the associates, colleagues and friend of friends that you do have. Watching you at the party and how everyone lit up when they saw you definitely had me yearning for that type of interaction from people. I live in ATL as well and I have 0 friends here. I think people underestimate the mental and spiritual impact of having friends vs not having any. I literally have to go everywhere alone. I musttt say, I used to feel that way as well about relationships in general. That I had to bring something that they need because I felt like they brought something to me. I did learn over time though that what someone needs may not be obvious to you and you have to trust that if they're around it's because they want to be and you bring something to them. Some people feel fulfilled by helping someone else. You could be that person for them. I'm just saying it doesn't always have to be as intentional and obvious as we would like
