Wow, holy macaroni and THANK YOU but nobody in jail ? No indictment(s) coming his or their way ? New York city and state should really un-alive its much too common guard on inmate violence once and for all. Enough is enough. And just talk doesnt cut it, unless they want riots on their hands as well. They need to change a whole lot of things it seems. Or are they too busy writing out checks for damages done to other inmates and victims of inmates as well. This could have never happened in my country. Then again, here it takes 3-three years real education to become a prison officer. Or CO`s as you call them. People are crazy and times are strange-they`re locked up tight-They`re out of range-they used to care but.... things have changed.

Then God bless you . I will never understand why it doesnt pay more than it does. Result: Nationwide staff shortage together with overcrowding. Sounds dangerous as I write it. Just outside a prison in Arizona theres a big sign/billboard saying: NOW HIRING ! Crazy. In my country its a 3-three year long education to become a C.O. But its payed education and it pays very well. We take rehabilitation serious over here. Our relapse percentage is down to 33 % and we educate and release more prisoners with real certificates than ever and tear down prisons as we speak. So in Norway being a correctional officer is a meaningful and purposeful and respected job. Im an ex-con myself and knows first hand how everything is done over here.

And we only hear about these cases because they make the news. But correctional officers do all types of suspect stuff in in all jails across the country. I was in county jail for 60 days and an inmate was having a bad seizure. They just threw the guy in a big holding cell with a bunch of us. We had to to try and help the guy having the seizure. They didn't try to help the guy or take him to hospital. This wasn't a beating, but it shows so much crazy stuff happens everyday.

Not exactly shocked, but still a LITTLE surprised since its all on bodycam. 2 even ! 14 guards fired , but what about the one actually killing him ? I know about Rikers and some of the horror stories from there but never heard of this prison before. And I watch A LOT of prison documentaries. Wonder why sometimes since Im an ex-con myself. Did 18 years between 1983-2015. Last stretch for something that happened in 2012, which is the real year the criminal mindset just wore off of me, just like that ! No divine intervention or anything like that, I had just had it ! No more. Never again so its not like I struggled to get that life behind me. All Im struggling with is money. Or better, No money ! I am paying restitution to insurance companies the rest of my life from the smallest disability check there is in this so called one of the richest countries in the world. Yeah, for the rich people it is. To me only on paper. Oil-money on paper. Even people with a decent paid job struggle these days. Sky high electricity bills not to mention rent. I just ordered a tent , with heating system. Goodbye solid roof over my head. Sorry, went a little off track here. I dont know of any other state that kills their prisoners on a regular basis it seems, than the state of New York. This has to stop ! Its 2024 for heavens sake, or 25 if you wish, in 2 days. So, are they like doing anything about this ? Other than just firing 14 guards ! I havent seen the bodycam footage yet but I know its out there and from what I hear its nothing I really want to watch either. Probably would just keep me up all night, praying . Lets see, its now 7 PM Sunday night at my end. Allrighty then, means Ive been sitting here watching and commenting you tube video`s for 12 hours straight. I doze off every now and then but not for long. Ive got to go get myself something to eat now and then watch the video. I havent seen it yet but I will in just a few minutes. Happy new year by the way. Just in case we dont see you before on the other side of the "flipside" so to speak.
