The solution to drugs isnt snitching. Its investing in treatment and mental health, not funding police and prisons to lock people up.
@themaddiemads4 жыл бұрын
This is exactly what I was thinking the entire time! Putting pressure on her to 'get drugs off the street' is ridiculous, because all those drugs are still going to be there in prison, and another dealer is waiting to take that place on the street. If you want to help someone with their addiction, sending them to prison isn't going to do much for most people.

I just found you this evening, and although I have been lucky in terms of getting caught, I am feeling all of this so loudly!! I took myself out of that equation a couple years ago and I forget how blessed I really am. My story could have been written so differently. Life is very lonely and overall boring, and I would not go back for anything in the world. Thank you for sharing and giving people content that is so relatable despite being so heavily stigmatized. By the grace of God I survived the absolute worst years of my life, and literally clawing my way out of addiction. I should not be here right now, and my wake up call came a few times before I chose to answer it. Every day is a struggle, and being sober you feel every bit of it, you care so deeply and it is so steessful, but guess what? I am here. I have 2 happy, healthy children that think the world of me, and I every day I chose to keep growing. I am not where I want to be, but I have come so far from where I have been. You will never hear me say one bad thing about my people still caught up in the fast life and in the game, but it is not for me anymore. Much love.

Girl, it's SO TRUE that you learn very quickly who your "friends" are once you get into recovery.... Or, catch a case. When I got into recovery 5&1/2 years ago, I went from being a "social butterfly" with a ton of "friends" to being a total homebody with a REAL friend group of about 10 people that I can pick up the phone and call them for ANYTHING and they'd be there in a heartbeat, and vice versa. Even people that I had known for 20 years had to go, or just dropped out of my life. And, you know what? I could not be happier.

This whole thing is just a miracle! Jessica, you live the same way Jesus wanted us all to live. I don't go to church anymore, but in my first year of college, (while I was still in my Junior year of high school), we had to read The Last Temptation of Christ, by Nikos Kazantzakis, which was so brilliantly written that you won't even believe it. But it really does paint the glorious nature of humanity and then the divine. Oh, it is so great. My facial recognition of Jesus is Matt Bomer. He acts nice, too, just like that angel baby Jesus. His honesty about his family of children and his husband also makes me love him, because he did not marry some beautiful and famous woman as his beard. That happened to a good friend of mine, and she stayed married to him because of her beautiful teenage children; Then, one day, he just left. Gone. Had her put in jail numerous times, and to this day, he's still hiding in the closet) and is outwardly married to a bossy, gold-digging, horrible person, who could be his daughter, and he can live with lying about his true self. That's bad. To use a woman's life as your cover; that should be actionable. I wonder if everyone agrees? So Matt Bomer is my modern-day Jesus. Love that guy. Jessica, you live as Jesus did. Now, what do you think about those apples? Bravo! Salud! You're divine, dahling! Pun intended!

Ohhh you know how lucky you are. And you are clever and selfreflecting enough to understand things. So that situation was very close to the edge...not just 30 yrs., but it could have been that "one-way-Tticket" journey. I am watching your & your special daddy-officer srgnt. videos since yesterday. And i hear so much paralells to stories that took place in the past of some friends of mine. You made the right choices in the right socond of time for the (maybe) best reason...your kids. All the rest will come by it´s time. Greetz from Germany.

Thank you for this!!! I’m going through a tough time, but I think I need to go through it so I quit once and for all . I need to get clean and this is wake up call. I am still in time to find my way out. Before I end up dead or in jail. Thank you for helping me

Your compassion for "Lucy" at her Federal court hearing demonstrates why you can't play "the game."
