Meygan (the red head) is possibly white, (I've never been able to find anything confirming her ethnicity, unlike the others), but she wasn't in the original group, she was added later. But yeah, she definitely didn't need to darken her skin to look like the Cloe doll, I know I didn't need to when I dressed as Meygan and I'm very pale lol, so you can definitely pull of Bratz without over bronzing. It's a shame that people do this, since not only is it cultural appropriation, but it also sends a negative message to people who are naturally pale and become self-conscious because they aren't tan enough to fit the "trend" of today. It's like they're sending a message that if you're too white or too dark, you're not good enough and people have to be perfectly in between the two.

As a cosplayer, it is so important to be careful and conscientious of a character's nationality. I've cosplayed a few characters that aren't white but have never once touched up my skin in any way. I choose to cosplay the character not the culture.

on the other hand, I saw my friend getting hate for cosplaying with her normal summer look in dim lights. And as a "proof" of her doing something wrong was used cosplay pics in bright stupio lights and in blue lenses

In my early to mid twenties I started using filters and editing on my selfies and let me tell you it got ridiculous. I had body dysmorphia and being on social media and having access to filters made it so much worse. I edited myself skinnier even though I was underweight, I edited my face heavily even though I was already wearing heavy makeup etc. At the end of that phase, my selfies looked nothing like myself, they looked downright unreal and horrible. Like a blow up doll out of a horror movie. And I couldn't see it! I thought the pictures looked fine! I have four entire years where no real photo of me exists because I would hide whenever other people would want to take photos of/with me. Luckily with lots of therapy (and deleting IG lol) I can leave the house without makeup, take pictures without filter and I can actually recognize how stupid those selfies looked lmao. On a more serious note, I also have a healthy weight and I like myself as I am.

I'm so tired of retouching. Colour correcting, I understand, sometimes the photo doesn't match what you actually saw perfectly or you want to go for a different vibe. But I'm so over retouching that makes it look like entirely different people or creepy expressionless dolls. Let people have cellulite, meat on their bones, wrinkles, smile lines... let them look like actual people.

Thank you for making these types of videos. As a 36 year old woman who still deals with body dismorphia, it's nice to be reminded that these pics aren't real. People in this photos and videos are not real. I have a 17 year old and im glad that i can show her this stuff, so she doesn't get bogged down in the stuff i got bogged down in as a child her age. I also got my nails done one time last year, and it LITERALLY took my nails an entire YEAR to recover. My nails naturally grow in long crescents, but after getting then done they kept growing out split and flaky and the part where they sanded my nail down took forever to grow out. I am NEVER getting my nails done again, I understand now why once you start you can’t stop because that year of my natural nails recovering was terrible.

There’s a type of gel called biogel that I’ve found results in less damage. Also keep an eye on how the nail practitioner uses the drill tool, the damage comes from when they overly shave down the nail, they should just be gently roughing up the surface of the nail to allow for the gel to stick, and then just be shaving down the actual gel.

oh thank you so much! I use the dior blush usually (it's the super pink one...I think it's called backstage?!) but for this video I used the charlotte tilbury one it's liquid called peach pop i believe. it's the squeezable one ^_^ and for my lip color i like using charlotte tilbury "iconic nude" lip liner and then just use a random lipstick that I got from japan. i'll try to post some insta stories with the ones i like

When I first saw that photo I thought she was Jesy Nelson at first loll! I would of never guessed it was Khole if I hadn't read the replies in the tweet I saw. I also thought it was a Clueless inspired costume at first too. As a long time Bratz fan, if she really wanted to give off Bratz vibes she should of dressed up as one of the Bratz more iconic collections/looks like the Wintertime Wonderland collection or the Bratz Rock Anglez collection something. Edit: Only retouching I'd let slide is the facial features to look more like the Bratz faces, since they're known most by their exaggerated facial features and it is a halloween costume after all. The tan is ridiculously and unnecessarily dark though, especially since she's dressed up as the Cloe doll (I'm assuming by the blonde hair) and she's literally the only white girl in the group.

I recently watched a video by a famous plastic surgeon here on KZbin, talking about Khloe. He said that although Khloe has had a ton of facial plastic surgery, she, in real life, doesn’t look like the pictures here. She looks very different ( not as good). What Khloe and her team posts on social media is all done with photoshop and retouching.

I'm confused. I'm with you on the "candid" and "influencer" pictures. But the others are professional photoshoots, they're SUPPOSED to be retouched. Especially the Bratz one, she's SUPPOSED to look plastic and tanned. So what are you exposing here exactly? Don't you retouch your own pictures? How's it any different from what you do, when your pictures don't show the reality either? Don't get me wrong, your retouching is beautiful and some retouchers out there are terrible at their job or just plain lazy. But I don't get the point of this video.
