Her open book is a good read...overcame stuttering with singing after causing a horrific car wreck at age 2...screaming to go to MacDonald's diverting her mom into a head on crash...she was sent into the windshield ...her mom broke several bones... 1983.

@Astralxiv Its sad cuz by the second album irresistible they told her to lose weight and look and act and sound like Britney. Cuz They knew Britney was the number one girl to beat. They also wanted her to dance so when you see them videos like irresistible and a little bit she is dancing in them which she hardly did before. She later admitted that time of her career was the worst one cuz they wanted her to be someone she wasnt. She later said country music is her speciality. Sad they did that for her. They also did the same thing to Mandy moore.

She portrayed herself as the dumb blonde stereotype. She did have good vocal ability which is why I don’t get why she portrayed herself in that way. Reality shows typically don’t work in your favour even when you are an established star. Reality television is a very risky career move that very few, if any, will benefit from long term.

I think alot of people liked her because she was just the normal girl and a bit ditzy even though we all know that she is smart.its sad because at that time that is what TV and that era of music and tv wanted the ditzy not so smart girl. Paris Hilton made a lot of money playing the ditzy blond as well. I jessica spirit she seems like a nice genuine person that is apart of the industry,but never really took to the industry because of all of its demands.
