fun fact: Jessie had no sleep when performing this, she had been out at the Australian TV Logie awards all night long, having a great time. Astonishing to have so much energy and kindness, a pure joy to film. How the fuck do you sing like that without rest and hit those notes sitting down!? She's a musicians dream. The guitarist was in awe of her charisma, talent, character and vocal prowess. She is such a force. And she's having so much fun. I haven't debated the request at all, but the premise that one must be able to sing well in order to justify ones belief as to whether or not an artist sounds good is a poor standpoint. Do not get me wrong, I like the song, though I feel it could have done without her throwing so many frills into it. I will say at 1:38 ish she really did sound like a cat that was hit by a car. xD I can't sing, but I can tell when a singer attempts to reach a pitch they haven't trained for, cause their voice breaks or they hit falsetto to cover it up. in her case, at 1:38 her voice broke because her voice can't reach the octave she attempted to get to, thus the screech. HOWEVER, she seemed to enjoy herself, and she got paid for it, so all this is semantic.

I love JJ cos she she sings a hard note and sticks to it, with absolute commitment, and any harmonising is always rendered with total honesty.
