True Professional... She is hearing mic problems and its not sounding kosher in her headphones. She stays on point and even after she hits a high note and it blasts her headphones, she takes them off her ears and just goes with her natural ability to sing the melody because of god given talent. She is a true pro and knows how to control her voice.

As long as i know, its not a mic problem. The headphones are there for hear the instruments/guitar and keep the tempo. And i think this can be a problem when you cant hear yourself or ur looking for acurate notes. Some1 correct me if im wrong.

nah she just needs to hear herself clearly without the echo of the headset, that's why she took it off. It can be really annoying hearing yourself in a headphone like that, it's easier to take it off and just go for it.

That's the "fuck it, we'll work it out in post" reaction and she probably thought that she may as well play it through, because they can always do another take after if this one sucks. Of course it didn't suck, it's one of the most astonishing vocal performances you can hear with the variety of timbres and all with intonation most people need pitch correction to achieve. But that said I doubt that her high note "blasts her headphones" (broke them?); there's a lot that can go wrong with a recording in an unfamiliar space without a robust soundcheck.
