Update: I read A Thousand Pieces of You. I really enjoyed it and I think it was the best book to get me back into reading. I just have to say, I love, love triangles ahah. Don’t think I’ll read the rest of the series right now, maybe in the future :) Currently reading: The Butterfly Girl (my sister just brought it home from Walmart, how could I say no to a free new book)

young adult fantasy for me is when I want to see some dragons and sword fights but don't wanna drown in a complicated magic system XD

a lot of YA fantasy for teens still felt a little too adult to me when i read them 😅that's why i still like to stick to YA sci-fi (like illuminae) because the romance doesn't feel so in your face, and the focus is more on the plot than getting it on in random closets (cough cough the mortal instruments) 😂

Haha that’s definitely fair! I do find that I always enjoy YA stories that don’t put a huge emphasis on the romance 😄

I once read a dystopian book for young adults where basically all people above the age of 18 die suddenly, and only kids and teenagers of certain age are left alive. Some other things happened but basically they just tried to find out what's going on and survive through everything. It was honestly so good, and I'd really like to know if there are other books similar to that. Do you have any recommendations? Now that I think about it, my description sounds really bad.
