@THE GIFTED POET Don't tell me to calm down if you didn’t understand my previous comment you knober not to mention I also said “ no disrespect towards....” , but since you didn’t understand I'm saying ppl slap religious b.s on topics like a women's body, GOD or whatever has nothing to do when it comes to your body and the choices you make with it is all on your own actions ( maybe the idea being grateful for god or whatever for making you on this earth is one thing but to rule out the logic of the human mind vs religious mumbo jumbo is irrelevant here). And the last comment was simply stating her mindset of " my body is a temple " is rooted from the teachings of Buddhism even of she was raised catholic why should it matter what faith and stuff she believes in even if that religion has no god? If she benefits from personal growth from buddism who are we to judge? Just like a women does with her body.

“Figures” has popped up in my suggestions so many times - and I’ve played it each time I’ve seen your face and loved the twang of your voice that allows listeners to feel what you’re intending them to feel. But God 👆🏻 knows when we need to see and hear certain things…And tonight was the night that I had the urge to listen deeper; to look at more tracks vs continuing on with whatever the next suggestion would’ve been. God used you to speak to me tonight 🫶🏼 Thank You. I can only imagine how many people, how many hearts, this short film has spoken to since it was originally posted. I 100% fell in love with mid-20s you telling the truth; telling your truth. And I’m only a few years older than you, but watching you down yourself after that car scene, then again for following that douche back into the house and then telling yourself, “that’s that dumb shit. Young dumb shit, naïve shit,” - I was sitting here on my living room floor, feeling all of your feelings, 10-15 years older than you were when that happened because, as women, we know that shit like that happens all the time. All at once, this video gave me anxiety and rage, and I knew exactly why you were shrinking yourself in the car and apologizing because you were afraid and alone in a situation that you have no control of and I felt that fear - but also the mama in me came out and I was talking to the screen each time you dogged yourself out, like, “no baby-that’s OK. no, you’re OK. don’t talk to yourself like that. 🖕🏼that dude”. …but I was also talking to me. I guess I’m ranting on here because it’s anonymous. But because it’s anonymous I’m just going to rant my little heart out because no one’s probably gonna read this anyway 🤓 and if they do, I hope they benefit from it somehow. God put a couple of my best friends in my path the passed couple days and I have reflected on how I speak to them during their troubles, just like how I spoke to you, a stranger, through a video….because I know exactly what that feels like to have a man be that way- I’m going through the growing pains of it now in this very moment. And I don’t think it has anything to do with being young, or dumb, or even naïve Even the smartest person in the world can be fooled by a trickster, especially if that trickster sees how big your heart is. Often our hearts are manipulated to gain access to our bodies. But to you, and every other woman, it doesn’t make us dumb, it just means we want to believe in people. And don’t feel bad baby, I went back in the house too. Ladybug, I’m so proud of you!I’m so proud of you as a woman and a mother and a sister. I’m so proud of you and thank you for being one of the three women that God has used in the past 24 hours to remind myself, that I need to speak to myself the same way That I would any other woman who is hurting. and that as a woman, I am very much so capable of accomplishing what I need to, and want to accomplish without selling myself short. I pray you have happiness and a life of peace, and that you continue to show little girls that they can get exactly where they want to go without breaking their own hearts. My little girl needs women like you to speak their truth. I need women like you to speak their truth. So five years later, thank you for doing so ☮️ 🕊️💟

As a singer and artist and songwriter who was previously part of the music industry I can confirm that this is the reality. Almost every producer I worked with was inviting me to come to their hotel room anytime we were performing at a venue together. Every music video director I worked with I experienced extreme abuse and sexual harassment from. And don't even get me started on how music labels and publishing houses and mgmt treat their artists. It's taken me five years to heal from alot of that shit and it almost killed my love for music completely (and I've been performing as a singer, pianist and cellist and classical trained artist since I was 8 BTW. This dream has been with me a very very long time, and it has taken years to heal the abuse that was endured). Thank goodness us artists can now do our own thing and build an audience and a career without having to suffer some of the hideous and traumatic concequence that come alongside wanting to fulfil this particular sort of dream.

This woman is so underrated that it hurts my soul. & for her to come forward & make this song in the first place...she seriously deserves all of the love & respect in the world! Glad to see someone so talented actually making something of themselves while exposing how they tried making her sell her soul to get to where she is. But stood her ground & made it her own damn way! Amazing 🖤

That is That Temptationnnn when the Devil offers you a knock off for what God has put into your soul that is REAL. Satan always demands a sacrifice that goes against your own truth. ALWAYS. That's how you know it's not God because God is with you through your trials and HE gives you PEACE and not sorrow, disgust, or the need to get high because you can't face what you did.... this is a Gentle Reminder for us all ... Selah...

Well done. Most of us are wondering who it was & a lot of people are encouraging you to expose the guy, but hey you don't need to expose him for the rest of us to know that we should just say no. You're a great example of "I said no, and I made still made it" there are a lot of people who truly believe it's not possible to make it without selling yourself, even you had those thoughts in your mind as u said in the film. So thank you for making this video telling the story without trying to make it all complicated & hard to understand.
@chakakhan97004 жыл бұрын
Exposing him accomplishes nothing because temtation can come from someone known someone unknown someone respected someone not respected a lone female or male... the devil takes on many faces so it doesn't matter. The overall point the message you should walk away with is that when it happens, recognize it for what it is, say no and stick to your beliefs, be strong enough in your conviction that although you're walking away from probably your best and only chance to make it you're also walking away from a lifetime of destruction and hell, sickness disease and madness that no amount of money can cure

Jessie, I am beyond grateful I stumbled across your song on Spotify's Discover Weekly 10 months ago. What you are doing is amazing. You are a role model to so many. I am so proud of you and how far you've come as an artist and as a person. God has big plans for you. He will always be there for you to protect you as will your fans. You have things other artist don't. Emotion. Passion. Motivation. But most importantly a reason. You will continually prove how worthy of your success. Not everything will be up from here, but learn from it all. Your experiences teach you, they never define you. I love you. Congratulations on your EP and your song with Calvin Harris! Its only the start!🎈
