I'm floored this pops so much with those magicals and sprays. I'm in love with this entire piece 🤩 You have done it again, made me feel so inspired by your videos. I'm sure I've said this before but I really love your choice of music 🎶😍 I take care of my dad 24/7 and don't have much time to watch these videos on KZbin so I watch most of them sped up at 1.75 so they never sound good but your I watch regular and sped up and the music is still lovely 😍. Hi sweetie....ok, I’m really wanting to get a art journal going....so, I’ve been watching many different artist....I bought the thick 300 water color paper and made a book by sewing it together...I have all acrylic paints....and acrylic mediums and gesso in clear and white, and now I got the acrylic molding paste and I bought some stencils and magazines so I can have clippings....I have always loved art....but have never had time to do this for me....I love how you show what you use and you make it look so easy....but I know it’s not....you have to have it in you for it to flow out so beautiful.....thank you for videos...❤️❤️❤️❤️

Well, thank you so much 🌹you know the best way is just to start using what you have. In the beginning it’s just trial and error and as you use your material you will find out what you like and what you don’t like. Remember that I have also been a beginner, watching KZbin, multiple artist and was afraid of starting, afraid of messing it up and do ugly things. If you don’t want to mess up your new handmade journal, buy a old book in a thrift store, it doesn’t matter if you mess it up. There are more paint and papers in the shops. If you don’t like it try something else. I still make ugly art but it doesn’t make it to my KZbin channel. Get experience you will learn how to do things to your liking and before you know you got the flow. If you don’t know how to start do the same steps as someone’s else. That totally ok. So get messy, try out your art supplies, their is nothing wrong or right way of doing things, but don’t compare your beginners art to mine or anyone else you watch on KZbin because I (and they, probably) have play many years to get where I am now. Thank you so much 💖There are two aspects of this subject, one I don’t really like my voice and since English isn’t my first language I have to think about what to say and it get a lot of “eh”. 🙈 There are a few videos where I talk during recording. Secondly it takes too much time to do voiceover and when I talk during video recording the editing takes too much time. You see I work full time and this is just a hobby. But I will consider your request and I’m always happy to answer any questions you have. Do you have a specific questions you want me to talk about?

Jesson Art I’m absolutely convinced that your voice is lovely! Having said that I totally understand your reluctance to do voice overs. Have you ever looked at Amber K’s videos? She includes some text descriptions when she wants to explain choices or techniques. For example in this video I saw you hesitating/thinking about where to put the gesso. I would have liked to know what you were thinking and how you decided on placement. Your videos are still great!!!

This is beautiful and I LOVE LOE LOVE that napkin (where is it from?) and the color of the flower. The only criticism I have is that I would like to know which particular colors of spray, powders etc you use at each point in the process. TFS :)

Thank you. The napkin was gifted to me from a friend. About the colors I use, it takes a lot of time editing a video and I decided to keep the subtitles to a minimum. Sometimes I write the colors in the description box below but that’s also depending on how much time I have. Making video is something I do on my free time, I have a full time day job. But if you want to know about a certain color I will try to answer if I can.

This is absolutely gorgeous. The colors are stunning. Why did you use clear gesso over the napkin rather than matte medium? Does it give a different result?

Thank you so much. I don’t remember this particular page but it’s easier to write on your page if you cover with clear gesso. Especially if you use acrylics to color it. Otherwise the visible result is the same

Doesn't it impact the pages you've done before if you let the coloured water flow over the edges as shown in 7'04? In thought it maybe flow between the pages or through the spine?

Yes sometimes it does but I don’t mind. I journal because it makes me feel good. But you can put painters tape, if you know what I’m referring to, in the middle before you put gesso on your page. That will reduce the risk of that.

As a newbie to mixed media - how do I stop the pages curling as they dry please?? I am using the pages in a book as my base page but the gesso etc make the pages ripple and curl. Thanks

Just start playing and you will grow your talent before you know it, and don’t feel discouraged if things don’t turn out the way you want in the beginning. Keep practicing you will grow your experience and learn how to control the outcome. About the stamp, it’s really old and if I’m remember correctly it’s a stamp from a Swedish company “Panduro” and I don’t think you can get hold of it anymore. Sorry

Thanks for sharing your process...your finished page is stunning! Is that some kind of a paper tape you're using after you get the paper pieces glued down? It looks a little like masking tape, but it appears to be somewhat translucent so the design from the paper underneath shows through. It's a super interesting effect.
