Jess do not touch the nee Murakami collection, I have seen Rippling across all pouches, the canvas looks messed up on panda pochette where it has been machine sewn on, instead of being hand stiched its caused puckering. Wrong zip pulls on the coins purses. The stitching across the top part pochette accessories where the studs go has been off. And people out here paying for that and then saying. Im not going to return it, because Im not going to be able to get another piece. Thats a problem if you are paying top dollar for that item it should be PERFECT. No if no buts.

I’m only purchasing new from mid-level contemporary brands, and preloved for everything else. It’s just not worth it right now.

Even when I can afford the retail price bags, I look for good preloved bags these days… lots of my recent years’ retailed price bags end up being sold because the quality just aren’t as good as some of the preloved bags that I own 😂

There are a lot of artisanal (handmade) bags in Italy that uses high quality leather at a fraction of the price (minus the marketing costs luxury brands spends). One of them is Bolderini Selleria.

OMG...I love that black multi Speedy 30. But...I'm gonna sit on that for a while. I know it's FoMo. However, I do want a piece of the Coach cherry collection I know the quality will be spot on. I don't love all the bag shapes, but I love the cherry charm, and one or two pieces. I wish they made it in black as well. 😢 ❤🍒🍒🍒🍒

Jess how many vids have you talked yourself out of buying something from the Murakami collection. Your arguments are valid of course but most of these arguments apply equally to buying hermes bags. How many trips could you be doing for one Hermes bag ( especially the New ones?) The Black multi colour speedy ist absolutely beautifull, good quality, fun and quirky and goes with so much. Why dont you just get it if you can get your hands on one still and enjoy it and buy one hermes bag less this year? No need to continue this battle against yourself!😊

I’m happy I came to my senses and not to have bought a bag from the LVxTM collab, it really wouldn’t have been used much. I bought purely for the nostalgia and I’m very happy with my pochette as I can wear it as a small bag and it doesn’t look silly on me. Sure buy a luxe bag/bracelet/holiday/car but get those genuinely real investments bought, or debts repaid, before buying more. It’s confronting to see how much has been spent with not a lot to show but we’re all guilty! In as little as 2-3 years it can amount to a house deposit for some who never think they can afford their own home. We can be very wasteful creatures in general.

Delvaux bags are very high-quality and of very good quality. The bags are said to be of the same quality as Hermes.

Great video!! And wonderful, timely questions for us all! I can't afford, nor have I ever been able to buy the level of luxury you and other top influencers have (I can only purchase quality mid-level contemporary brands), but these are still questions we should all be asking ourselves when it comes to our collections and our budgets!! I'm wrestling with wanting to purge old items I haven't been using from my collection to be able to update it with new ones that suit my life more now, but am having trouble getting anyone to purchase my old ones. Haha-I guess no one else wants them either! I don't want my collection to get too large and out of hand, but I also don't want to miss out on these beautiful new bags while I have the chance to get them!!! I've already missed out on a few and it's a real pain to then try to track them down on the pre-loved worldwide market, but I don't want to be too hasty and regret my purchase when something that suits me better comes along!! Oh, it's a quandary we all find ourselves in! Thanks for all you do to keep us informed and sharing your point of view!!🥰💕

The whole reason LV spends so much on marketing is to blitz you and get you on the FOMO bandwagon...then it's about having the item rather than practicalities. They get you to forget about quality; it's an afterthought. That said, I do think the Speedy is the best most practical design in canvas. It's unbeatable. But white is a nightmare to maintain and it can look a bit tragic unless you think it through. The Murakami bag becomes the hero so the rest of your outfit has to be less dazzling or it confuses the eye. As Diana Vreeland (former editor of US Vogue) said; the eye must rest. It's got a bit of a juvenile look to it, the black less so especially as they bothered to use the silver hardware.

Great video. Really valuable questions to ask and advice. Its good to be reminded of these things. Asking myself if I already have something similar has stopped me buying stuff loads of times. Its hard not to get lured into the hype of the new stuff tho. The multicolour has been showing up constantly on my socials feed. I finally gave into the fomo and got a vintage multicolour. Im loving it tho and already shared it on my tiktok when I unboxed it 🤦‍♀️😂😂😂

Incredible leathers/quality to try - Dooney and Bourke Henry, Florentine, or Alto lines. Coach's gloveetanned and luxe refined calf leathers are both must tries. While I'm not sure if these leathers are Hermes quality, they are (IMO) fare superior to most luxury brands. Also, I think it's kind of hard to compare Hermes leather to other brands since Hermes has so many different kinds of leather.

Totally agree. If you pay top dollar, the quality has to be tip top. I wouldn't keep the item, even if it was from a limited edition. I have returned a bag from a Kusama collaboration because of the quality issues. To be honest, I think I'm done with LV. I have all my classics bought ages ago and have no intention of of buying anything else, especially of substandard quality.

One more thing there is a man on eBay who sells LV bandeaus. I have several authentic bandeaus but I bought my black multicolored one from him for 20.00. I also got a cousin chain from him for my Darout for 35.00. Trust when I say it looks as nice as my white multicolored one that I paid 300.00 for. The chain is beautiful and looks just like the one my mother has for her bag she got from the store, 💁🏾‍♀️

The new Murakami collection looks awful. That Venice backpack looks like something my daughter would have carried when she was in elementary school. Those vachetta cutouts on the koala clips look silly, and there’s THREE of them 😂. Older white women are fooling themselves into believing they are “classy and timeless.” Gurl where? That canvas looks bad, the vachetta looks cheap to me, and they look like bad replicas IMHO. 💁🏾‍♀️
