The prices are crazy, side trunk is $5050 usd. I’ve noticed the prices of the old collection have gone way up on the resale market. Now the Pochette Accessoires are around $2k usd which is inline with the cost of the newer releases.

This collection is massive - Besides bags, SLGs the scarves/twillies/bag charms/footwear/dogwear - the list just go on and on - very very tempting! My SA showed me the entire list of release - it’s so wow!

Hi Jess. I LOVE the old black and white multicolor Speedy's. I had the black one and gave it to one of my nieces. I hated being gawked at for having it (mostly by teenage girls). I wish I had kept it, and now I want a white one! 🤦‍♀️ But I think I would choose cherries first. 😊🍒🍒

I wish we could see this collection in person before ordering. I’m interested on purchasing either the speedy 25 or the side trunk in multicolor. I’m not that in love but I’m definitely getting fomo. Those who criticize will be purchasing last minute.

As someone who still owns the original speedy and alma and a few cherry pieces all in never-worn condition, I will be interested to see the quality compared to the original. I am not sure what LV was intending with such a massive drop of so many pieces esp. in the multicolore. IMO it feels like a huge money grab and the 2nd generation may not hold its value with the flood of product. I remember a lot of the original lingering in drawers at the boutiques. Considering the going in price- this launch may be a pass for me.

I love the black and the silver because I absolutely dislike yellow gold. The yellow gold kept me from purchasing in the past. I'm looking forward to see if they offer other items in the black and silver.

Hi Jess! I keep looking at all the new Murakami bags coming and I have FOMO too! I feel like I want to wait and buy when I go to Japan in May because the cherry blossom collection should be out and possibly the cherries as well. I’d definitely try preloved first and if all else fails I will buy direct from the boutique.

I really like that round coin case in the black multicolour on the last pic on the bottom right. I need that, I miss the round coin purses they are the best for headphones and bits n bobs. I dont think the resale market from JP on ebay is that bad atm. If you are hunting vintage, please look out for that eye love bag, that I commented on. That suits you so well. I love when Meredith re unboxes her Murakami's after she sends them in to be restored, they come back looking like new.

I prefer the black vachetta and silver hardware. I'm guessing the black vachetta will age better, and the silver hardware makes them more wearable. I like the more masculine look, still too much bows! But they seem to be removable.

I love the Zoomoni pouch! It is perfect for totes with no zippers. The Murakami collection is so lovely. I al so excited!! I do not mind wearing loud bags! I love the black and silver hardware! Oh the cosmetics pouch is pretty! The Capucine is so gorgeous. Oh man, this collection is going to be priced astronomically 😢😭

The Speedy 25 was interesting until another KZbinr pointed out that it lacks the supporting straps on the sides, combined with more weight from the hardware this could make the bag more likely to tear and wear faster or worse break off at the small strap flaps intended to hold all the weight of the bag and contents in it

So, now that the market is hot for Murakami and Kusama is being remaindered so soon, might be a harbinger. If I had a wad of spare cash, still not going wild for all the retro multicolor. Too much competition right now, people are overbidding for good pieces that may not hold value in a year

Your call out is fair on the complexity of the original bags. There are a lot more stores that LV need to now supply to compared to 20 years ago so they will need to streamline the new collection and maximise profits.
