Hi Jess! When I see it side by side it really makes me question my own sanity for even wanting any of it lol. The Alma BB for me isn’t even a usable bag. It’s too small. And I’m Not a fan of overly large bags but this is just a “night out” bag. The speedy 25 is tempting. But honestly I’ve talked myself into waiting. I’m going to look in Tokyo for something in great condition.

Not sure we can compare them properly. Things were so different back 20 years ago. Production, including cheap labor force, was vastly different back then. We also didn’t demand for perfection like we do now. We are ready to send a bag back for the smallest defect where 20 years ago many of us would not have thought twice to do that. Good video Jess. I liked to see the comparisons.

I can say that it is mos def a money grab. I know how to screen print and it’s the amount of colors used that jacks up the labor but come on…..additionally I have a mink bag….those are mink scraps not a full coat so it is not that expensive. My mink bag was $75O brand new last year. Yes they are not going to use all those embellishments like brass corners, studs, etc…cheaper to make and easier to construct. I really only like the trunk inspired bags by LV because those are all made in house and in France so you can see the work in terms of craftsmanship and hardware whereas plain canvas like the Speedy and Neverfull are all basic construction…I think I heard somewhere that it really only cost LV $5O to make according to a couple of French influencers that I occasionally follow. The Alma BB at $23OO has always been an entry level bag along with the Speedy…but hey LV knows that the hard core LV lovers and all the influencers that will be gifted these bags will mos def create the FOMO disease. I almost caught it myself and have to actively beat it down…because I was never into the Multi color back in the day so I am not about to jump on it now. Get off of me FOMO!

Yeah FOMO is real, luxury lovers are hit with threats of limited supply and price hikes. Im tappes our and watch from afar. Enjoying what i got. Also when people are stabbed wearing logos it makes it a tad too dangerous flashing logos like LV

I prefer the newer, streamlined versions in the main; many old versions are too flashy which dates them and makes them a bit more hard to style with today’s casual styles. I do think both releases were expensive though.

Personally I prefer the new, pared down look although I am not a fan of the multicolour. I do love the watercolour collection though, weirdly enough - think it’s lovely❤

I agree totally. The watercolour has a very dreamy and artistic sensibiity, whereas the multicoloured logo is just a stamp, and it's very commercial looking.

The new multicolor collection is supposed to be limited so that’s why prices are higher than the equivalent bags in monogram versions . Also I would say people know the vintage MC is cheaper but buying new means you get it in perfect condition and this is the main reason why I would buy new .

Never sick of the MC videos too 🥰 I like hearing about your opinions. The old key cles was updated and replaced with the pochette nm key cles, which actually looks closer to the 2025 version, so the 2 are very similar. The pochette nm cles has aged much better than the 1st version, since it doesnt have the vachetta. Thx for clarifying that the new speedy is a 25 size. 🤗
