@@alexanderdumas-I worked in a nursing home many years ago and would go home crying because most of the residents never had visitors. This one particular gentleman loved Bologna sandwiches mixed with mayo and mustard. He would only eat it if the condiments were mixed so we made a special jar of mayo and mustard together just for him. To this day that is how I eat Bologna sandwiches and think of him. Of course i would never cry in front of him yet it broke my heart to see him always eating alone never having family especially on holidays.

I used to work at a bank, and I handled A LOT of elderly abuse incidents. It's horrific how often it happens by people who are trusted by the victims. It made me question everybody. Money truly brings out the worst in people

Maybe it's because my best friend and cousin who was murdered in 2004 has her middle name, or maybe it's because our old best friend's mother Brenda reminds me so much of her, both an appearance, and in lifestyle.
