I think you have so many injured beavers because the contaminated beavers are getting in the medical beds, and I don't think you have any blue berries and dandy lions the beavers are not getting cured, and you will start have a job issue soon. The mechanical water dump will not make sense at the moment, as the bad water can still pass around. At least one full side of the channel needs to be finished.
