If Jesus's is god and god gave rules on owning slavery, then Jesus's was OK with slavery. If he then changed the rules but left it so unclear that for the next 18 centuries, people were OK with it continuing, then he was terrible at distributing his message

Isn't it interesting that for thousands of years they interpreted it one way, and right around the industrial revolution/age of enlightenment, some started interpreting it another? It wasn't 200 years ago they were claiming slavery was ordained by God himself from Genesis to Revelations. heh Go figure.

Started here in Upper Canada. 2 men saw a Negro slave being dragged kicking and screaming into a boat to go back across the Niagara River. They decided that slavery had to stop. So they started the movement to end Slavery in the British Empire.

"Christianity was brought to the indigenous peoples by the Spaniards and Portuguese conquerors in the 16th century". Christianity meant forced assimilation and cultural domination. For example Columbus forced the Natives to convert to Christianity and begin practicing this new religion against their will.

id say by its definition nationalisim is an over reach, one shouldint indoctrinate loyalty, but earn it, and it should be that way with any person, group ideology or nation, that said i do think pride in ones nation is reasonable providid that pride issint baced on a dilusion or lie ie current china, its people shouldint feel pride in theyre nation run by tyrants... while america, its people do deserve to feel pride in the country, america has come so far and made so much progress still plenty to fix and improve still of course.

That would be like saying God knew people were going to SA children anyway, so instead of telling them not to SA children, he gave them guidelines so they could SA children in the most humane way possible. That's the type of logic this guy is using. Also, he's making his god sound pretty weak, because apparently his God couldn't just tell people not to do stuff (even though he does that all throughout the Old Testament.)

9:30 oh no... the host compares slavery to prison, so the thing about prison is that its a stripping of freedom and punishment FOR CRIMES, effectivly by your choices to comit crime you are choosing to go to prison, do you get it host??? slavery was involentary, you would suffer slavery regardless of your own choices or actions, good people, bad people, any race or gender, and any age, a child could be a slave, and as a slave your not a person, your property, owners can beat you, rape you, sell you, do anyhting but kill you... with in three days... and really even that rule is only in the bible, prisoners are still people though arint they host??? do you acknoledge that prisoners are in fact legaly still people???, the prison guards can rape or torture or sell them like items, you get that right host??? i dont like this ether ignorant or extreamly dishonest comparasin iv seen making the rounds of far left extremists latly, the whole dismantle the prison system, its a bad idea, unless you can give a better one, please do, becuae when you break a system, you have to replace it with something....

Hey when we "dismantle the prison system" What does that mean to you? Because i have a very strong inkling that you are against a strawman of prison reform, not actual prison reform
@shardinhand1243
@shardinhand1243 5 күн бұрын
@@Furry-iousNews so to answer your question dismantling the prison system is fairly stright forward its getting rid of the legal use of prisons, for example we no longer engage in public exicutions or hanging, these methods of punishment have been ended, so thats what i mean by dismantle, and to clerify, this issint my idea, just one of many terrible ideas of heard from the radicalized far left, along with "decolonizing" america, ie giving it back to native americans which would displace all americans, or the idea of disolving national boarders, these are all ideas that may sound quite lovely and good on paper but in exicution would lead to tons of nationa and internationa crisis conflicts and countless harm to people, now i did want to ask what you meant by prison reform?? to me the term reform when talking about prison simply refurs to the goal of changing the behavior of criminals to be more practical to live in sociaty, to get along with people, and to follow laws, but you may mean something totaly different please explain m8

Jesus belonged to a society that were enslaved by the Romans. The counsel Jesus gave was that if a Roman compels you to go a mile, (that was Roman law, a Roman could compel a Jew to carry his burden for a mile), go with him two. So now you say Jesus was in favor of slavery. No, Jesus was not in favor of the slavery. He was in favor of doing more than required to keep the Romans happy in their iniquity and less inclined to persecute Jews. Today atheists are trying to create a society in which they are like the Romans used to be. Everyone has to carry the burden of atheists and atheists can be happy in their iniquity. The only problem atheists have with their plan is that the United States is a free country.

If Jesus is God, then Jesus likes slavery. If Jesus is not God, we still have “slaves, obey your masters” as the message he brings from God through Paul. So the real problem here isn’t that some apocalyptic preacher didn’t care about the status quo, it’s that the omnipotent power of the universe himself likes slavery.
@rbwinn3
@rbwinn3 5 күн бұрын
@@canderson5098 Yes, abortion. Atheists say they are not in favor of slavery because they kill the people they want to subjugate in society. So they claim that Jesus was worse than atheists because he said to go the extra mile with regard to slavery enforcers. Where that falls apart is that the example Jesus set was not killing 60,000,000 children the way atheists have done. Jesus did not kill anyone during his mortal life.

Repent of your sins, believe in Jesus Christ for salvation and become a new person in this life. Luke 24:47 KJV And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. John 3:16 KJV For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:3 KJV Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
