I had a chance to share my testimony about the name of the church in the Miami airport on our way to report to our mission. I explained this chapter. Then he asked about the rest of the name, such as Latter Day Saints. I explained that we are in the Latter Days now and in the New Testament members of the church then referred to themselves as Saints. This gentleman, I hope has a better understanding of Jesus’s church.

That is the goal brother. God loves all his Children and will do all in his power to allow them the chance at Repentance and Forgiveness to return as heirs in his Kingdom. Recognizing and trying to see yourself in the Savior's same path is a good sign to see yourself attaining everlasting joy😁

Once again, beautifully realized. Well done in all ways. “Even as I am”. When I heard that I asked myself what I always ask, “and how do I do that when you are Jesus, Mr. Perfect, and I'm just me”? I'll never be good enough unless I do everything in His name, I feel. Then, at least, I'm still safe, no matter what, in my imperfection. I feel so inadequate for the task, though. But I must try, nonetheless.

Notice that Christ gave the commandment to be perfect twice; once in the New Testament where he did not include himself as being perfect, but said we should be perfect like his Father in Heaven. The Book of Mormon commandment to be perfect included His Father and Himself as being perfect. The difference being Christ was now resurrected. We will not be perfect until we too are raised in immortal glory through the resurrection. But, we can strive in our sphere to be perfect in keeping the commandments and trust that we are saved by Grace after all we can do as Nephi stated. We seek to be perfect out of love for Christ and the Father, not for our glory, but for Their Glory.

We are imperfect, made perfect in Him. That’s how it goes. And that’s the marvelous part. Do as it is explained in the Scriptures (and in this video) and you’ll be fine. That’s the path we all have to walk. I really liked what Bruno shared. And that part of being perfect in our sphere of action is a great advice. We may not be perfect in the whole, maybe that’s even too much for a life time, but we can be perfect in a little something at the time.

I love how personal this was. He may have been sitting in a meeting. I'm not sure, but in this video, He talked to all the disciples personally. Just like it says in The Chosen, His message may be given to all, but there is something in there for each one of us individually.

The way Christ is depicted teaching his Apostles by going to each of them while he is speaking, is the way I envision that he actually did it. It made the words he spoke more personal and meaningful for them to remember I am sure.

The Book of Mormon has never been proven by historians or archeologists. Not one artifact has been found, not a bone, sword, arrow, bowl, coin, nothing has been found from the Book of Mormon.

It's words and testimony of Jesus and the witness of the Spirit are enough for me, but there is plenty of evidence. Isaiah prophsied of the B of Mormon.
@Terminatorguy34 Жыл бұрын
It's going to take a special kind of historian and archeologist, who doesn't believe in the Book of Mormon, to come out and validate evidence in connection to the Book of Mormon. Do you even realize all that would have to be done if historians and archeologists were to say, yes there is plenty of evidence that directly ties to the Book of Mormon? How much of American history would need to be rewritten, besides the fact it already does.

this is not from the Bible. the name of a church is not important just as the denomination is not important. what is important is that the church invites ALL people equally and teaches people to follow Jesus example

His church must be based on his doctrine. His doctrine is laid out in 2 Nephi 31-32 and 3 Nephi 11-12. I fear that these chapters, and many others, convict us who call ourselves after his name.

Man wrote the records of the Bible. Namely and mostly the Prophets and Apostles. Then came Alexander the Great and the Council of Nicea, they voted on what records would be in the Bible, they added, changed and took out many truths.
