I love this. I used to be an atheist and addicted to porn but I got so afraid I was gonna loose my marriage and I got desperate and I actually asked Jesus while in my car to give me self control. Life changed that instant. I no longer had that urge for porn, and I saw women differently. I knew I was no longer a atheist but a believer. God is good. God is real. Praise the Lord Jesus.

I was lesbian too and even though I didn't party or hop from one night stand to the next, actually having stable relationships 3 times for 19years, I had no peace. I honestly felt in the relationships like I'm searching for something I will never find. I was closeted completely in just that only the person I'm dating and their friends would know me and everyone else would assume I'm straight. My relationships always seemed like I'm pouring more than what I received every time and it would frustrate me and I end up resenting the people I was with. I just want to thank the Lord that when I ended my last relationship last year August, I decided to attend the Bible School program my church had always advised members to attend (by the way I was and still am a church goer). There is where I met the Lord and decided to finally give my life to Christ. I attended the full two weeks and my life has never been the same ever since. Today I am delivered. All praises to God

I really felt this because I didn't know what life with God/Jesus could be. I thought it was boring but my life was a mess (drinking/drugs/depression) and when I started taking steps toward God I started seeing the truth. And he doesn't lift a finger when the helpless and undeserving are suffering unspeakable cruelties at the hands of the wicked. "God", if he existed at all, would have to be savagely cruel, or completely uncaring, or utterly useless. Good for our brother. I also am a man of God who once was a slave to the longings of homosexuality, but has been set free and no longer longs for the same sex or any sex for the matter. I don't desire a wife, nor do I desire to be a father, but if the Lord plans for me to be one, I accept His lead. I don't have a obvious libido toward the opposite sex, so I assumed he stripped me of my libido and made me a spiritual eunich. But I am still a healthy and capable man, so maybe not. When he sets you free, it's a relief nothing else on this world has been able to compete with. Peace from the dwelling of the Holy Spirit has filled me with Joy and I am blessed to hear the testimonies of my brothers and sisters who know what I mean. I've been free since 2022!

Well said. The goal is holiness and submission to the Holy Spirit, not heterosexuality. If God grants a wife and children, sure, that's good. But that is never the goal, nor should it ever be. Straight isn't better than gay. But holiness is superior to both.

I cried his story sounds familiar to mine with the law. I was a social alcoholic since I was 13 and one day on my sisters birthday I got destroyed with alcohol and got violent (usual response) and got into a fight with another woman and went to jail. I was sitting in a cell telling myself I don't belong here what am I doing. I went to church a week later and had the elders of the church pray the charges get dropped because I was about to lose my professional career. The morning they prayed by 6 pm I get a call from my lawyer stating my charges were dropped by the prosecutor. I cried by the mercy he had on me and that was the last time I drank alcohol almost 2 years ago! I knew God gave me a second chance and answered my prayer to stop drinking alcohol. In his own way he got me sober because I was so stubborn : D that was the only way... He is REAL!

"Journey" I used that same word when I first was coming to Christ and baptized. I opened my heart to the journey. That was in 2015. I had no ides that the journey would have so much heartache while simultaneously encompassing peace and joy. Ive found myself and Ive lost myself, over and over. Yet, Ive seen the grace of His hand each of those times. I know what life looks like without Him, and thats not a life I ever want to return to. January of this year I got baptized, declaring that this life and body is His and although my first baptism was special, this one was when I truly felt the washing away of my old life. My Journey wasnt glamorous whatsoever, but its a road that has led me to Him.

Thank you for that prayer. I receive it. I felt the beats of my own heart as hard as I’ve never felt them before, as you were praying. I started crying. I deny myself and renounce to myself and proclaim myself saved by Jesus. I will continue to go to Church and hopefully serve one day. I want God at the top of my thoughts everyday and I want to live by Him and His word. I no longer want to “fit in” or “find myself” in the worldly fields. I am tired. I’ve known nothing but rejection. Even though I ignored Him for so long, I always felt Him watching me. I told my sister in my homeland and my sister whom I’ve lived with for the last 5 years, along with her husband and my two beautiful nieces; I told my grandma and I feel like sharing His word now. I want other people to feel what I felt. And I want to carry on His word, which is the truth to everything that we may have doubted before. My sister at my homeland will be visiting Church this Sunday after hearing me out last night. I’m so happy. After so long of her feeling lonely and unworthy, I, with the power of God, convinced her and heard her out as well about what doubts was she having and what should she expect. I told her to not be afraid and I did my best at answering each question she had. She’s a single mom and we know each other like no one else does. I pray for her to find The Lord and to surrender herself to Him. I ask for anyone who’s reading this to pray as well. Her name is Valeria Sobrado, she lives in Puerto Rico and I know Jesus is waiting for her. May I ask, in this same matter, that you pray for me as well? My name’s Roberto and for the longest time I’ve been telling God “Have mercy on my family and guard them; don’t worry about me. I don’t deserve anything”; but I don’t feel like that anymore. That’s an amazing testimony! Hallelujah! I can identify with the experience of having to surrender things we confuse as being our essential identity but are not. I had been identifying with brokenness, depression, and rejection. After surrendering to Christ, He has shown me who I really am and redeemed things I thought were beyond repair. The experience of transformation through sanctification is incredible! As I watch testimonies like this, I hear things that I have spoken. There is unity between the saved people of Christ through the Spirit. I used to feel so alone and now I have a global family United in Christ. ❤ United in Christ we stand.

My family is as supportive as any family that I have ever witnessed. They have loved me as much as they could, and God knows I have indeed tested them at times! Why then, in my times of trouble, have I hid from them? Why did I not go to the people that have loved me the most, helped me the most, and know me the best in my darkest hour? It is easier said than done, of course, and practice makes perfect. If you have ever raised a child or even a dog, there are moments when you can see when they have done something wrong. With my dog, the moment that I walk in the door I can usually tell if she has done something that she is ashamed about. She will slink away from me, often not even greeting me at the door. If she does welcome me, it is with a noticeable difference in excitement. I have always treated my dog with love, but when she does something that I won't like, she knows it. Can't you picture Adam and Eve acting similarly here? Adam and Eve knew they went against God. Like a young child with a sibling, Adam quickly points the finger at Eve to blame her and not take responsibility for his actions. If you were Adam and Eve, how would you act? God gave them life and has shown them only paradise, and they seem to forget it immediately! Do not take this love for granted! Go to your loved ones and seek help from them, admit your faults if you need to, and quickly ask for forgiveness. Nobody is perfect, but we can learn from Adam and Eve and our own mistakes and get better and closer to whom we genuinely care about.

I am a straight woman but listening to your story sounds like my story with my mother she made me and my siblings go to church without her. She believed in the Lord, but did not walk the walk until she got much older. She has passed on and she passed on saved and loving the Lord, she was very abusive not a very good mother in the end. I have forgiven her and I love her dearly and miss her.
