JESUS EXPLAINS THE 3 EVENTS THAT TRIGGER HIS SECOND COMING--DO YOU KNOW THEM?

Jesus Preceded the Lord’s Supper with a Summary of the Future.
Look at the incredible message about Christ's coming to bring in His Father’s rule on earth. Look at how much Jesus says as we survey Matthew 24-25. The essential points Jesus gave to His disciples, and to us, were:
First, the trouble leading up to Christ's Coming Kingdom Rule will start with one man’s actions in Jerusalem’s “holy place” (Mt. 24:15). There is a real place that is central in God’s plans: the earthly, geographic place called the city of Jerusalem.
Each time the term “holy place” is used in the Old Testament (54x) and the New Testament (5x), it is always the Temple (or Tabernacle). So, there is a real person coming to that literal place: the human that Satan empowers to become Matthew 24:15-20's “Abomination causing Antichrist”. The Antichrist heads a future, Revived Roman Empire (Dan. 9:26-27).
Look back at the source of Christ's reference to this person in Daniel 9. Here we see the Antichrist is from the Roman Empire (the people who destroyed “the city” (Jerusalem) and “the sanctuary” (Herod’s Temple). This coming Antichrist confirms a covenant with the Jewish nation of Israel. Breaks the covenant, and brings in an “abomination”. And all of that happens in Jerusalem in Judea (Mat. 24:16).
Second, Christ's Coming Kingdom Rule will follow the Great Global Holocaust known as the Tribulation (Mt. 24:21-22). Jesus makes it clear what precipitates His return has not yet happened. The events prior to Christ's return are so catastrophic, that they will only happen once. Note the extreme, apocalyptic, superlatives Christ uses: “great”, “not been nor ever shall be”, and “no flesh” survive.
Third, Christ's Coming Kingdom Rule will be seen by every one of us, every saint that has ever lived, and by every human alive on Earth at the closing moments of the Tribulation (Mat. 25:31-32). Note that Jesus says: “All the holy angels” come with Him. This is also described as the second coming in Rev. 19, surrounding the events at Armageddon. Just for a moment think how vast a sight this will be.
There are billions of angels, plus we know all the saints are with Him. Jude 1:14 quotes Enoch from before the Flood prophesying a prophecy from God that tells us that Christ returns with “myriads” of His saints (that is the literal words, an incomprehensible number, the largest number they had in the Greek language). There may be as many as a few billion saints from Adam & Eve onward.
That is quite an awesome-sized cloud coming to the skies of Earth at Christ's second coming. Global population think tanks estimate that there have been between 46 and 110 Billion humans that have lived on Earth over the past 10,000 years. They are probably off by almost one zero in the duration of humanity’s existence on Earth (closer to 6,000 years), but they may be right that 50-plus BILLION souls have been born and lived, and 7 billion are still alive at this moment.
But Christ's coming to rule His Father’s Kingdom will be as He is surrounded by every angel, and by every saint (1 Th. 3:13), and every human that has survived the Tribulation will see that return.
Every time we celebrate communion we should remember this promise. Jesus is coming to set up His Father’s Kingdom. But there is even more.

This pastor is in error. No where in King James' scripture does it say the Abomination of Desolation is a person. In fact it is referred to as "IT" therefore "IT" has to be the Third Temple ITSELF. Please for your sake reread both Matthew 24 and Mark 13 to see what I am pointing out. I have put this Adendum on as an after thought. The mistake this pasture is making is he is confusing the Anti Christ with the Third Temple, he is simply running them together when they are related but sperate issues.

It would help greatly if people understood that the Bible is spiritual book, not to be interpreted as a literal book. Allegory,,, it is stories to teach morals conduct but most of all how to communicate with the supreme beings. It is written in dark sayings, in other words slang as it were. I haven't seen the blind recover sight, the lame healed or the dead raised. Ok so either God is incompetent or many are reading the Bible as a literal book as instructed not to read or present in this manner. Satan... a Angel gone bad so does this mean that God is incompetent on his work and those are flawed. And then there's the all seeing all knowing things going on. So does that mean that Satan slipped by him or it's a lie that God is all seeing and knowing? Maybe just maybe people are reading the Bible in erroneous way. Something to think about.

I have been sitting outside in the mornings. I finally have time. Now that I am retired to finally observe. I see birds singing. But are they really singing? I see squirrels playing. But are they playing? Actually everything thing I look at is competing for it's piece of dirt. That is just a polite way of saying fighting to stay alive. The why is explained in Genesis. A preacher I know recently got upset because I said the Bible is the best source of psychology knowledge. I dropped out of Social Service and Psychology at college level. Because I came to the conclusion it is a mental virus. Back then, I called it a contagion. I switched to engineering. Now even "the science" is being corrupted. Both normal and abnormal psychology are there if you know where to look. It is in the Bible. There is a hint about what they / them housed in one body really is. In the Bible. I have seen a lot of this increase exponentially in the last 70 years.

I was born into a Christian family. I went to a Bible centered Christian Church. When I got older, I thought, what if I had been born into a loving Jewish family. One that practiced their faith. Would I have different beliefs than I do now? I happen to see a video by Rabbi Tovia Singer. I watch it. Rabbi Singer had great knowledge of the Christian Bible. By using out Old Testament, he brought up things that I have never heard before from the Prophets of old. He explained his views on one God. He also used Scripture to show why Jesus in not the Messiah or the son of God. He had a very convincing explanation from the Old Testament. To hear it from a different perspective was something that I found very interesting. As a Christian being taught from a different viewpoint was to say the least confusing. You would think the creator of all things to have given a shout out for all mankind to hear so we all could believe the same thing without debate.

I suggest that the 'abomination that causes desolation' is also a 'great rock', not made by hands. It will circle towards the Earth causing great tribulations as it gets nearer, and the wise will turn to Almighty God, through Jesus Christ's accurate teaching. How I wish that our Heavenly Father would just say enough is enough and just go ahead and send our Lord and Savior Yeshua the Messiah back to earth and set up His kingdom here in this world. We all have had more then enough of this evil and corrupt world and we all are so tried of this lawlessness and sin that's destroying the human heart and mind. Humanity has had more then enough of all of it and I just don't understand why God keeps letting the devil and his agents of evil get away with absolutely anything they want but when we ask Him to put a stop to all of it He just ignores our pleads for help and does nothing. 😢

I understand what you are saying but what if God is holding back 99% of all evil ? What if He is waiting on more people to say yes and follow Him ? What if we are only seeing 1% of evil so more people have time to follow Jesus ? I am waiting on Christs return too but would love to see more people saved.

Matthew 24:15, Mark 13:14 and Luke 21:20 are parallel verses recording Jesus' foretelling, in the Olivet Discourse, of the destruction of Jerusalem. Luke further clarifies that the *"abomination of desolation"* which Daniel had spoken of , as phrased by Matthew as " _...standing in the holy place_ " and by Mark as " _standing where it ought not_ ", means *armies surrounding Jerusalem* . The reference back to Daniel was to Daniel 9:27, where Daniel had also prophesied about the destruction of Jerusalem and the second temple that would occur after the advent of Christ. Daniel said, and mark carefully the literal Hebrew which is erroneously translated in most Bible versions, that "...upon/above/over the wing of abominations, [he] will be desolating". The "wing" was not of the temple (no temple at all is mentioned in 9:27 in the original Hebrew). It was the wing of the eagle idols, called Aquila, honoring Zeus-Jupiter, that the Roman legions carried on staffs into the city. In Matthew 24 and the synoptic gospels, Jesus was actually answering two or three questions, whereas the apostles thought they were asking only one: Once Jesus foretold of the destruction of the second temple, the apostles assumed that this could only coincide with the end of the world and Christ's return. Clearly, history has shown that these events were not simultaneous, because the temple was destroyed by the Roman armies in 70 AD, and Christ's return is still to occur immediately after the great tribulation which Jesus said, according to Matthew 24:21, would already be in effect at that time (i.e. when the armies surrounded Jerusalem).

Anywhere that the "Ark of the Covenant" (The Container of the two Stone Tablets / which is the Marriage Contract of YHVH & the offspring of Jacob) - Wherever that Ark is, it becomes a Holly Place. At Revelation 17:1, 2, it describes riding on its back, "the great prostitute"(Rev 17:1, 2), the religions of the world, called Babylon the Great (Rev 17:5), influencing the realm of politics to do its bidding, because it has "peoples and crowds and nations and tongues" under its "thumb" (Rev 17:15), so that it says at Revelation 17:18: "And the woman whom you saw (at Rev 17:1, 2) means the great city that has a kingdom OVER (or in control of ) the kings of the earth.” So, what will "the disgusting that causes desolation........standing in a holy place" soon do ? What will the United Nations with its "ten horns" or member nations do to the "holy place", such as Christendom ? Revelation 17:16, 17 explains: "And the ten horns that you saw and the ("scarlet-colored") wild beast (the United Nations), these will hate the prostitute (of false religions) and will make her devastated and naked, and they will eat up her flesh and completely burn her (or all the religions of the world, including Christendom) with fire. For God put it into their hearts to carry out his thought, yes, to carry out their one thought by giving their kingdom to the wild beast, until the words of God will have been accomplished."

I used to listen to John’s teaching but over the last couple of years I have been studying this subject in depth and I have had to change my eschatology in a big way. I was taught to believe many things but I never really searched it out. I just believed what I was told the bible said. I have since discovered I wasn’t correctly taught. I am not saying that I was taught by false teachers, just mistaken ones. Please search out the scriptures and verify the teaching. After all, the Apostle Paul commended the Bereans who went back to scripture to verify what he was teaching.

The best way to hasten the return of Christ is to preach the Gospel to Jews. In Acts 3:12-26, in the Temple, Peter tells the Jews that what causes God to send Jesus back is when Israel repents (v19-21) Luke 13:35 Behold, your house is forsaken. And I tell you, you will not see me until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!’ Romans 11:12,15 Now if their trespass means riches for the world, and if their failure means riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their full inclusion mean! For if their rejection means the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from the dead?

But Israel is blinded until... God is not dealing with Israel today. He is building the Body of Christ Church. When this Dispensation of Grace for the Gentiles is over, then God will call out to Israel once again and they will preach their kingdom Gospel all over the world before the end comes. Matthew 24:14. We see this happening in Revelation 7 with the 144,000 Jews and the Great multitude.

The 3rd temple is the body of the messiah which is the temple of God. And the sacrifice and offerings are the meditations made inside that temple (body). The evil one will make a deal with the children of Israel concerning the sacrifice and offering and then go back on his word, which will lead to the great tribulation and trouble of all kind in the world. God himself will intervene and see to it, that his words be fulfilled and the Son of Man will come forward.😊😊

I wondered about this myself. Temple being the body of Christ. But also temple being the reborn believer. And there will be Apostasy. But who are the 'Children of Israel'? People should read the New Testament where it talks about who the 'chosen people' are and also who are not.

We are the temple of God, but there will be a physical temple built. There must be, if prophecy is to ring true. The ac makes the covenant with the "many" of Israel. They do not believe in Christ, and will want their Temple. The few, the remnant, will not want a temple because they do (will, once they are called by God) believe in Christ. Though Israel be as the sand of the sea only a REMNANT will be saved. The little flock, the Spiritual Israel, the remnant, will be part of the few, not part of the many that the ac will confirm Israel's covenant with.
