WOW ! How I remember these days! I was there, and now, my heart longs for that time again. The blessing is knowing that even though we have all grown older, Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Thank you for all the wonderful trip back. God Bless

Thank you for this..yes back in 1971 this group sang in my College during lunch time in our cafeteria, which we called the zoo. I thought they sang really good. I was hippie back then and this group sang excellent, but one thing shocked me, they sang about Jesus. Their song touched my soul, this song they sang. They announced that there was a Jesus meeting in the library in room 101. I met my future husband Steve (who already passed), Mark, Vicky, Andy and Juanita. I am still friends with them to this day. Thank you Jesus. We were lovingly called Jesus Freaks.

This film brings me tears. I did not come to Christ until the fall of 1980, but these songs of praise and street preaching the gospel were part of my early experience in San Diego, CA and Memphis, TN. I kind of yearn for those days again, when Christ was so fresh and new to me, and the Gospel was a blast of fresh air. It was so amazing to see people just standing up to receive Christ and getting baptized to publicly declare their intent to follow Him. I sang these songs 10 years later in my youth group, and preached the Gospel in public with other of His followers. Good stuff, thanks for posting this.

Thank for sharing this vintage gem. It is rough and unpolished but so genuine - just like the Jesus movement of that time. I was saved out of the drug world at Philadelphia teen challenge in 1971. Teen challenge was a unique component of the Jesus movement..especially on the east coast.

God has. Worked through His servants in many wonderful ways. I praise Him for what He has done through men such as Chuck Smith, Lonnie Frisbee, Hal Lindsay and the other saints documented in this film. (Flawed as we all are, Jesus still worked mightily through them all.) I think this will be shown in heaven

This is a trip watching this...I was part of the "Jesus Movement" back in the early 70s in Kansas City, MO. House of Agape started with a house full of young people off the streets, I think trying mainly to get clean. Then House of Agape closed, but the body of believers didn't and it continued to be Agape Ministries for years. Paul Clark (musician) and Phil Keaggy (musician) were frequent attendees at Agape services and made their home in Kansas City...Paul from the beginning, if I remember right, and later Phil joining him from Freeville, NY. It was an interesting time without doubt. I fell away from all that eventually and never looked back...I just stopped. But I do have good memories of that time period. Thanx for sharing this.

They were the best years of my life. The Jesus People loved so many people into The Kingdom. We just had a reunion two weeks ago and it was like we were transported back in time. I'm sure if you search for your friends on social media, like Facebook, you would find some of them. We all have been blessed by reconnecting.

Thank you, but I'm not to sure they would want to hear from me...I tried once a few months ago and got no replies. But I've changed a lot since back then...I changed a Major lot...I'm not the person I was then...I'm still a good person, but a lot of Christians condemn people like myself just because we different and start a new path that mainstream Christians do not like. I'm talking about LGBT peoples...and I am the T of LGBT.

Dee Hana TwoSpirits Virtually everyone has a family member, friend, co-worker, neighbor, etc. who is LGBT. Just because Christians don't accept specific behaviors whether a person is heterosexual or not doesn't mean we reject the person. I have friends like yourself who were evangelical but changed their theology and are now gay and belong to a gay church. One is now married to his partner. In the past four years, I traveled with them to Egypt and India without any conflicts. We just accept one another where each one is at. I agree their are Christians who reject someone based on their sexual orientation, but that's no way to share the love of Jesus. If you want to dialogue more, please email me: neilinphilly@yahoo.com. I'd love to chat with you!

Dee Hana TwoSpirits Did Jesus likewise cast a stone at Mary, seeing all the others could not? Jesus does not desire any should perish but seeks Love and the eternal life He promises us all who choose to simply have faith in Him. I have done things in my past, things that I believed, truly, that I wanted. I never knew of the judgment that awaited me because of my empty desires. Everything in this world will perish, but God's Word will not. Pleasure, fame, money, status, lovers. Jesus says, "My son, I am able to change you, to help you fight these things you cannot help but desire." He loves you more than you know. God bless you brother. :) I just pray in the Name of Jesus for healing in your life for every wounding word, and for your right shoulder. And for God to just touch you, and show you, how much He loves you. :)

Hi...its fine...I just have no time for believing in fantasies anymore....its just silly...I believe in what's real...in what i can see...I do pray sometimes, but I pray more to the spirits or to my spirit...and that's on a good day....lol

Oh Lord Jesus, please bring another great revival like this to the world, especially the West where we the church have largely adopted the Laodecian creed that goes something like this. Let us not fix our eyes upon Jesus - when we have television and computer games to numb the pain, tug at the heartstrings and entertain us Seeking God's Kingdom and His Righteousness is so old school. Health, prosperity, comfort and signs and wonders are far more important. May my will be done on earth. Please agree with me God especially if I say “In Jesus' Name” at the end of my prayer Secular music is ok to listen to and sing. Surely God didn't make my lips to Praise Him as he isn't that important Jesus may have died for my sins (quite a trivial matter really), but I need a new car and he hasn't answered that prayer so what's going on?
