Pastor Guzik, I have been following you for a few months now. You’ve enriched my understanding of God’s Word. I’ve heard a lot of preachers in my lifetime, but even though they can preach a good sermon, not all preachers can teach. I appreciate so much that you chose to share these teachings to so many outside of your church. I pray the Lord continues to bless you in your life and ministry.

Sin is so deceitful ...kills robs destroys, but packaged in beautiful layers of icing, after you take a bite it enters you and if not dealt with, repented, it hardens your heart towards God...one feels distant from God and the enemy swoops in. Every sin conceivable is born first in the heart. We need to guard our hearts, surrender to Jesus Christ our flesh daily walking in faith in Him by grace. We walk in the Spirit of Christ, who works powerfully in us and through us and are commanded to trust Him with everything in us. A total surrender to His will. Not led off by emotions, thoughts, our will our wants, but Our God"s wants. Disobedience is not trusting God"s power living in us by The Holy Spirit, once we have accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior The Way, The Truth, The Life. We underestimate God's ability and power being able to totally transform us. To us it seems impossible, but God promises us His Holy Spirit through Jesus, to bless us with ALL spiritual gifts that we lack nothing spiritually. We need to let it sink into our hearts daily and meditate upon His Word, uplift and exhort each other.

Trust has been a major hurdle for me in my walk with Christ, I believe this stems from a tumultous childhood. I choose to trust Him even in the face of fear because He has never once let me down & He has never lied. Do you have any advice for anyone else in my position? Is it a matter of choosing to trust with our minds & then our heart will follow? Thank you & God bless you.

Thanks for writing in. I think that God has given you good insight regarding fear vs. faith. The two things are mutually exclusive. Many times from a human perspective, we have good reasons to be afraid, but faith lifts us above the human perspective to look upon things from God's perspective. So yes, we choose to believe, and our hearts will follow eventually. Well said!
