Hundred Blades has been miserable enough to use that it put me off of GS entirely for years- I've only recently started warming back up to it. Big numbers are big, but at the cost of self-rooting and being locked in a certain facing... not so much. (Of course, then we got an entire espec dedicated to Hundred Blades 2.0 in EoD...) Now that Zealous Defense can move while channeling, maybe at the very least we can get the same QoL?

Problem is Hundred Blades, (at least in PvP/WvW) even with the # buffs, barely does more damage than auto attacking. And has actually 0 effects outside of this. Auto attacking at least applies vulnerability. & I guarantee that [Zealot 's Defense] was untrooted because [Flurry] (the War sword F1) already was and the animation was done. I'm (c)opiuming that the Rush fix is the first step to making GS not awful. But I also have eyes. So it's possible that we just get ancillary #s buffs instead of the actual weapon skill reworks that we need forever. 😂

Thank god they fixed slicing Maelstrom, I've been waiting for that fix ever since they did the similar fix to gunsaber skills!

Ran Heaven's palm a few times in spvp. Well, nice to get the kill if the skill happens to be ready. Many times I prefer to drag out downstate when we are alone so the skill might just be moot situationally. In normal usage, peeps dont need to interrupt you, they just easily move out of the way. But I suppose it's fair to just give it aegis. Not a fan of absolute effects like evades, invul, stealth etc. Ran into a couple fellow WBs, havent seen it used in place of Renewed focus. Refreshing virtues and a retreat option are way too hard to pass over this thing. Other physical skills...i still dont see how they compete over the meditation linesl tbh. At least the options are there for those who want to venture out one of their utility slots.

Solid to know! I'm pretty sure it's primarily for WvW. Maybe to give WB's a place in the pirate ship meta'. But also maybe it's just "because." Either way it's still nuts to me that the CD is only 20s everywhere. But I also play Berserker, so I know low cooldowns aren't always everything. 😁

@GW2Pseudo yeh tldr it's a nice yugioh card but your deck has no slot for it. Wouldn't be supprised to see they up CD to 30s. It might have a bigger implication in 2v2 3v3 , doe Im doubtful people giving up RF that is essential in dealing with beyond golds.

in pve? a bit bigger dam but rotation gets jankier, havent tried it on golem yet but dont think itll be much if any better than hammer. cooldown reduction from auto chain completion is now 1 second- same as pve, but no damage buffs to compensate in pvp modes. so in pve hammer stays meta and in pvp sword its deader than it was, lol@@FinalShieldnobi

Basically yes this ^, They 'moved' a lot of the 'Power Budget' from emphasizing the Cooldown reset on auto chains to emphasize using other skills. We'll see if someone can iron out a smoother rotation over time. But removing Cooldown reduction / reset never *feels* great on skills. 😂

​@@FinalShieldnobi double checked just in case, yeah in pvp its just a raw nerf to sword. Reduced acces to cooldown reduction, no buffs to damage and no lower base cooldowns. All buffs to it are pve only, while the nerf is across all gamemodes.

Even less Holos will use Sword in PvP now, yes. The only reason to use Sword is the Shield.

I'm kinda new. Is warrior in a bad state?

Warrior is "technically playable" in every game mode. But it's mostly a death by 1,000 cuts situation. Most of their kit is outdated or forced efficacy. (e.g. How the healing #s on their new staff are artificially juiced' to compensate for Warrior basically having 0 other support.) I'm also pretty biased as a Warrior enthusiast. But if I had to give you a TL;DR it's that "The game has evolved past Warrior with most of it's systems, without Warrior ever being updated to match." So I'd advise learning something else right off the bat. The game's still great itself tho!! 😄

Only in PvE tho. & The quickness + vuln will help PvP peeps get their burst(s) off. It's a decent compromise I think. Might require some open-world build reworks with a [Sigil of Strength] for example tho, as you said. 😄

SUPER don't like the changes to Heaven's Palm. Especially the moving while using thing. Whenever I use willbender, I liked running Heaven's Palm and I liked that you have to commit to it. Mehhh

Ugh , why can't ppl just play the class they like and stop complaining about every other class . I ve run into so many other classes that are so much more toxic than wb . Wb is not good lol 😆
